Lucky Senior Pink is indeed Hard-boiled and a badass 💪🏾😎

“I forgot to post this yesterday” Well at least that answer the question of if I was going crazy for expecting there to be OP episodes posted when I woke up this morning 😂 As for the concept of “Hardboiled”; for once its actually not a translation issue or Oda making a pun. Its actually a real concept. You ever seen black-and-white noir films from the 1930s where its about a single detective that has to take on an entire mafia? The term for that is a “Hardboiled detective” As a concept, it basically means a man that solves problems through emotionless resilience and street smarts, rather then someone that wins through intellectual or deceptive means. In otherwords, its basically the 1940’s way of saying “Alpha Male” because these were the characters that were always portrayed as the absolute peaks of masculinity and coolness. Yes; they are referring to Senor Pink in this context 😊

Also: regarding Fujitora, I think that your personal beef with Garp has made it so that your not quite hearing what the guy has to say. He’s not simply saying that he’ll turn a blind eye, he’s saying he’ll turn a blind eye “for now”, and that part there is important. I realised halfway through writing this but, what Fujitoras talking about is the debate that was going on in My Hero Acadamia regarding Eri and Overhaul. They could’ve rescued Eri the moment they first met her, but they didn’t, because they believed that if they tried, Overhaul would destroy everything around them and then disappear. So what they did instead was to turn a blind eye for the moment while they prepared a full force assault team to make absolutely sure they could save Eri and ensure that Overhaul was captured and stopped in the process. Thats what Fujitoras talking about here; and he was openly admitting it throughout the entire conversation. He straight says to Doflamingo “Yeah, I want to arrest you right now. But if I tried, you’d just get out of it because of all those rights and protections you have. So instead; I’m going to play along for the moment as though nothings wrong while I take out the system that gives you protection, and once thats gone, I’ll be free to come down on you with the fury of a thousand suns, and I’ll happily enjoy that.” Thats the difference you missed because you’re so traumatised by the Marines not confronting the Celestial Dragons simply because they want to pretend it doesn’t exist. Fujitora is only acting nice because he knows its too dangerous to not act nice in public. Same thing with sending the Marines after the Straw Hats; he admitted he’s just doing it because if he didn’t, the damage could put the lives of thousands of innocent civilians at risk. He’s putting things off because he sees preventing civilians from getting injured or killed as being a higher priority than trying to stop Doflamingo by any means necessary. (He’s basically being the anti-Akainu right now. Akainu in the war was going “they must be stopped no matter the casualties”; while Fujitora right now is going “casualties must be prevented, no matter if it means letting them go”) Like I said; I get why you’re so triggered because it seems like again a Marine not doing something; but Fujitora openly says that he *is* doing something. It’s just that what he’s doing is in the background and not here… yet. 😊

It's good to know about the "hardoiled" thing, because I genuinely thought it was some untranslatable slang term.

"Along with the one-legged soldier who raised Rebecca *after my sister died*" Is she Rebecca's mom!?

Lucky, I'm not saying this is what you're doing, but we have to be carefuly when speaking from the perspective of the audience. We know that Doflamingo is the cause of the problems in Dressrosa because we saw the backstory. But everyone else believes, even the navy and the citizens of dressrosa, that Riku was responsible for that catastrophe and nearly destroyed the country and Doflamingo saved it and it's now better under him than it was under Riku. Not just because of the atrocities that nearly killed them, but it was explained that under Riku it was never a rich country, while under Doflamingo they seem to be more prosperous. HOWEVER, we know that he's very criminal and a big figure in the underworld, part of that prosperity is likely linked to slave auctions and wars, so it does not actually mean that the country is TRULY better under Doflamingo. But even someone like Fujitora who has more insight than regular citizens doesn't have the full picture, he doesn't know that Doflamingo did not actually 'save' the country, only that a very corrupt pirate is running it so there's likely going to be a lot of shady stuff under the surface. But he's not only a warlord (which technically makes his crimes legal), and connected to the CDs, but he's also the current king of the country, so arresting him is likely to harm a LOT of people in dressrosa as far as he knows. And who would be running dressrosa afterwards? Riku? The man responsible for burning half the country and slaughtering its citizens? (as far a Fujitora knows that is what happened) So I get your point, but he's probably thinking in the best thing to do which, as he says, would minimize citizen casualties.

I feel like you’re looking at the Navy too one sided. “The Celestial dragons are evil so anyone in the Navy who has high command should fight back or join the revolutionary army otherwise they’re evil too” seems to be your argument. There are different ways for stopping corruption. Fujitora and Smoker are trying to change the system from within. Even though Fujitora is very high on the ladder, he is in a massive corrupt system that controls the entire world, he is heavily outmatched. Fujitora stopping Doflamingo would be great but the Navy will be painted as good heroes who just cleaned up their own mess. Fujitora can make small changes that help serves justice while in the Navy. If he tries to stop too much corruption by for example stopping a Celestial Dragon directly then he’d be killed or fired. Hypothetically if you did go and defeat all the Celestial Dragons, five elders, and whoever else is up there then technically you could stop the corruption which seems to be the Revolutionary army goal. But that’s a VERY difficult end goal which my argument is just that someone like Fujitora being in the Navy is good, while yes working for evil people but constantly trying to change their ways weaken the corrupt system.

“Just imprison him. Do your job. Serve justice!”, u said? Mingo is a warlord and an underworld boss, playing crucial role in the economy, benefiting both the government and Emperors. There is no justice, simply about maintaining balance and stability.

The Shichibukai are not inferior to the Admirals. They are not part of the Marines. The Shichibukai system is more like the World Government's other armed wing. So Fujitora protects Doflamingo because they both answer to the World Government. It has nothing to do with Doflamingo being a Celestial Dragon (besides, the Admirals aren't obligated to protect him because he's a special type of Celestial Dragon). And yes, Doflamingo can't beat an Admiral. The only ones capable of defeating an Admiral in a one-on-one fight are the Emperors. Regarding the conversation about the Marines, I'd say that guys like Garp, Smoker, or Coby are just idealists. They're in the Marines because it allows them to save civilians every day. Yes, the World Government is corrupt and regularly does strange things, but it's an 800-year-old organization that can't just fall overnight. Dragon became a revolutionary about twenty years ago, and he's never been able to do anything except stare at the horizon from his balcony. Even Akainu is an idealist in a way. He does what he believes is right. He does it to protect the world from pirates and chaos, despite all the extremism it entails (we know, of course, that he was wrong about Ohara, but not him). It's the same in the real world. Many believe they're defending what's right while doing or saying things whose morality is questionable. Besides, Fujitora wants to overthrow the Shichibukai system because he can't stand the idea of having to defend pirates. But is that right? Are all Shichibukai the same? Doflamingo doesn't deserve to be defended, that's true. Mihawk is alone, so it doesn't matter. But does Boa deserve to have the protection of the World Government withdrawn, knowing that her island and her Amazons are at risk of being attacked?

Justice, like most terms, is defined by the people using the term. They do follow justice, only they follow it as they understand it themselves.

The navy is unaware of Doflamingo and the country of Dressrosa. To them, Doflamingo made them think that he "helped" innocent people by taking down King Riku. Fujitora is the only admiral who knows the full story. The warlords deal with the navy is that they can roam around just as long as they don't cause large problems. This is why Doflamingo works in the underground, to avoid the navy

I would actually say Garp is a great example for Marines, he did nothing less than forsake his adopted grandson for their cause

U will see why Fugitora isnt really doing anything
