Something important cut in the anime... after the battle Rem pretended to be dying so that Subaru would give her his first kiss and when they did, she really went in on it and got her money's worth. It was a kiss to remember her by Was REALLY cute in the Light Novel of her pleading for a last request and then Felix coming along and going "she just exhausted her mana she's fine." while Rem giggled at getting her kiss and the confirmation he was in love with her. This comment was copy pasted from a yt reaction but i wanted u to know this 👀 also before the battle ​they had a deep conversation. Subaru admits to Rem that while Emilia holds the "number one" spot in his heart, Rem has completely taken root in his heart as well. He explicitly tells her that he loves her and cannot imagine a future without her. Rem half-jokingly asks if he would take her as a second wife. Subaru agrees, saying that if Emilia is okay with polygamy, he would love to have Rem as his second wife. They make a pact that once the threat is over, Subaru will talk to Emilia about making Rem his second wife. Sorry for the long comment.

This episode, Crusch (the green haired candidate) took my vote. She's by far the best candidate imo, wanted to hear what do you think of her compared to Emilia as a future queen.

Youre kinda mixing around web novel stuff with light novel here. While yes the rem pretending to die thing is canon to the light novel the kiss is not. Subaru and rem dont kiss here in the light novel. For clarification if lucky reads this. The web novel is the original drafted version of rezero by the author and its available online but this is later corrected, cleaned up, and potentially changed for the light novel that is the true canon of rezero and is known as the official source material. The anime adapts the light novel and not the web novel

The whale is actually a mabeast / witchbeast and is similiar to the dogs from the previous arc but much bigger and greater in strength. The horse from the ova is a great spirit, spirits are for example the lesser spirits that are like small glowing orbs or similiar to puck who is on the same level as a great spirit. It also seems you might have missunderstood the whole master swordsman thing. There is master swordsman as a title that shows your sword skill and theres the highest rank known as the sword saint that can only exist one at a time. Willhelm (old guy) is a master swordsman but the previous sword saint was his wife who died. The current sword saint is a character youve already met early in the series that introduced themselves as the sword saint. Just wanted to make sure you know the difference.

Rather unfortunate the anime does stick hard to the Light Novel though. Theres a lot of moments (especially next season) that make me genuinely angry because the Web Novel version was so infinitely better to the point that I cannot watch certain episodes or read the respective LN parts for my own sanity.

I really love how were already at the point that warning bells start to sound whenever things start going well for Subaru XD Im pretty sure Crusch lamenting about her swords ranged attack was more about her aim then her range. Shes not exactly a sniper and they’re already kinda low on strength, so her point was that she cant really just blindly fire upwards and hope that it hits
