It’s nice that Oda did draw a What If Sabo showed up at Marine Ford to save Luffy and Ace

This episode always brings me to tears 😭

You know, its funny that you said that this was a masterpiece of a plot twist, cause as far as I was aware: a lot of people really didn’t care for this reveal because to them it was so obvious. To be fair: Sabo returning is in and of itself a bit divisive; but even after it was 100% confirmed he was back, there was a big component of the reactions that basically amounted to “I really hope Oda doesn’t just give him amnesia to explain his reasons for not being at Marineford, cause that would be so predictable and lame”.

4:33 Looking mysteriously towards east takes time and effort, lol.

Come to think of it, this is the second show you're watching where the same VA voices a bum (the first one is Naruto, although you've watched it in dub)

Also, speaking of voice actors, I just googled it, and Hack's VA (the fishman in the Revolutionary Army) is the same one that voiced the yakuza guy that Denji was working for in the first episode of Chainsaw Man.

Sabo was 10 years old when he lived in the Goa Kingdom, and he was 20 (like Ace) during the events at Marineford. So, he lost his memories for 10 years ;) As for Dragon, how could he have known that Luffy would be at Marineford? No one knew he was coming, except for the Amazons. Dragon surely didn't know about the connection between Ace and Luffy either, since Ace had stayed hidden on Mount Corvo until he set sail. No one knew that Garp had taken in Roger's son, except for the mayor of Windmill Village, Makino, and Dadan (and her gang). There was no way Dragon could have suspected that Luffy would get involved in the war... because he's a deadbeat who doesn't know his son's life xD His interventions to help Luffy in Loguetown were a matter of pure chance.

Strange that you have this big of a reaction on the reveal. I think it was obvious as day and it was the first thing that popped to peoples mind. Anyways, there was no reason for dragon to go to the War because he didn't know luffy would be there, remember he just jumped out the sky and appeared out of nowhere, there was no info on luffies whereabouts benfore that as well.

I don't blame Dragon. Remember that literally no one knew luffy was there. Even when the navy found out about Luffy in Impel Down they were still surprised when he appeared in Marineford suddenly, and only the Navy would have known that luffy was there at that point. So Dragon literally found out may 2 hours before the war ended that Luffy was there. And Ace doesn't mean anything personal to Dragon, he's not his son. So I don't see why Dragon himself would have wanted to go, they were probably taking advantage of the chaos for other missions. Even Ivankov was a surprise appearance in the war.

Lol Lucky forgot the deal that they had with Kin'Emon It wasn't to go to Dressrosa, that was just to find his friend, but they were trying to go to Zou. Coincidentally, that is where Law wanted to go also (he said his crew was waiting there) after Dressrosa, so Kin'emon asked if they could stay with them until Zou. But then Kin'Emon was still in Dressrosa when this all happened as he was rescuing Kanjuro
