I’m with you it’s bittersweet bleach greatness peak I’m hoping they adapt the light novels or that extra chapter kubo made and make it into an arch there are two bleach theme events coming up in the future and I hope there some announcements one in December one in February we can only wait and see

Hey: I did comment on the previous ep that there would be a high chance of no Aizen in this battle since he got his moment to shine last time and since Kubo was expanding this he’d give the spotlight to all the other characters he neglected from the manga lol (Theres actually a Bleach-focused content creator I watch that actually put out an entire video basically elaborating on why its not surprising Kubo didn’t want to extend Aizens screen-time XD) And because this episode was pretty much 99% new content, might have to wait until next week for there to be a full clarification of what exactly was going on with what Ywhach was talking about at the end there lol. You were *almost* right regarding the Espada thing you recalled about the hungry panther: That was the story, but it was Grimmjow that it was about, not Harribel. That said, the words do still carry weight, but for different reasons. In the flashback we got for Harribel (Which, granted, was anime only, but it seems likely that Kubo is hinting that he might be acceptiing this as canon) her backstory was explicitly her refusal to let Hollows be consumed at all, and instead band together, since she believed a group together would always be stronger then an individual. So offering herself to Grimmjow is conceding that her philosophy cannot work. (Also, theres an second and… pretty dark undertone as well, since Harribel was especially against the idea of male Hollows consuming female ones, and from a bunch of other context clues: its implied thats because in her human life she was either killed while being sexually assaulted, or killed by a guy that knocked her up and wanted to silence her for it. So letting herself be consumed by a male also has some other subtextual implications) On a slightly more upbeat note though: there hasn’t been any real progress on the Hell Arc since Kubos been hyper focused on the TYBW anime, but if you do want something more in the meantime: there is a very short anime called “Burn the Witch” from Kubo that has… more in common with Bleach then might first appear lol, so if uou want a bit more; maybe consider that series 😁 (Or I could instead get you on some YouTube videos about other characters and stories from the expanded history of Bleach. Thats also an option lol)
