At the end of episode 1, they showed a flashback of Rin staring at a stranger's drawing and saying something along the lines of, "is it possible to fall in love with someone just through a drawing?" And when she saw the drawing in Aokbab's house, she realized Aokbab was the artist behind this drawing that she found. That's why she had the sudden change and looked so shocked and in awe at the beginning of the episode. She finally met her anonymous artist first love and is doing everything she can to spend time with her and get to know her better.

There was a short post credits scene in ep. 1 that explains Rins reaction to the painting. It showed Rin staring at it in a notebook saying "Have you ever fallen in love with someone from just a painting"
