Because this show is a comedy, I think Jane’s character is meant to be a parody/exaggeration of the toxic ex trope that appears in a lot of the Thai dramas. There are multiple times throughout this show where they exaggerate common tropes. Like in episode 2 when there were I think 5 accidental kisses. Or the end of that episode when Si’s drinking alone at a bar and a guy asks to sit next to her. We all think he’s gonna be a problem, but then he just gets up and leaves as soon as she asks. And like in this episode when Klao is taking forever to tell Si what’s wrong over the phone, only for the “problem” to be that she had to bring the chicken back to their farm. Klao does this a few times throughout the series, where she’s seemingly about to say something bad, but it ends up being neutral/good. No spoilers, but there’s another common trope that gets parodied soon, and it’s pretty funny once you realize it.
