Former Fish Farmer

I'm just the right age to remember all of these things. In fact, I think I actually had one or two of them at one point. I know that I had The Animal. It was not quite as awesome as it sounded. Still awesome. Just not THAT awesome. Either that or I was a profoundly boring child who was pathologically averse to joy. Possibly both!

Jeff Orasky

I want to play this game. Is it available on Steam?

Quicksilver

I mean, this seems at least as insane, incomprehensible, and unexpectedly horny as most actual CD-I games were.

Did Elon Musk hire a Coked Out RC Radio Car Executive (TM) to design the Cybertruck?

Goat Face

I didn't know so many people were horny for the bug lady, but I guess that game's development would have introduced a lot of people to edging.

Skebotron

This is all great but I think the most 90's thing in it might be the word "entergaging." Also the Ricochet was a lot of fun, so I'm a little sad it got sucked into what I can only assume was some kind of game character porn vortex.

Amber Marshall

I'd be playing this game, frustrated at the limited dialogue options that won't let me say, "Oh, my boss/the owner/the shareholders insisted on ANOTHER design change, that's why it's nothing like I told you before."

Scribbler Johnny

I remember all of these and thought all of them were stupid. Except The Rebound, because that one shielded you from your mistakes.

Eon

Good thing I've been practicing my quarter circles.

Love this article, both for hotdogger references and the tragic narrative of a man whos true love is RC cars. One might even describe it as “Xtremely Rad!!!”

So that the story why they stop, they lost the drug fuel mind that was making them

Nicky Capps

I had a neighbor in the early 90's who was an rc car lunatic. Like built his own gas powered rc cars levels of lunatic. The controllers for his cars looked like they could launch a space shuttle.

Reading this article was already a superior gaming experience to 99% of the CD-i games I played… which makes you my new fave developer. A competitive field when your console’s other games are a moon-golfing astronomy textbook with shitty controls (real product) and the Thunder in Paradise interactive movie with Hulk Hogan (also real). My father always said to ignore the bullies… that CD-i was the “future of entertainment”… you might be the developer to finally wash away that tepid lie. Why they didn’t pull custody over that one I’ll never know. If making your son play Hotel Mario when the other kids are playing Mario World isn’t child abuse, why do we even have laws?

Sebben

i remember some of these things. I always wanted an rc car (or a powpowpower wheels) but never got one

You can’t make a CD-i game without telling me to check out the enclosed instruction book.

Yes maybe the next one is The Alfred Hitchcar that detects and runs over troublesome women

I love the articles with an extra layer to the cursed media lately. This is an all-time best.
