It's like my birthday every week with this series.

Legit the most fun I've had listening to a podcast series in a long time. The intro and outro song should be receiving a Grammy. I legit spit coffee all over my car last week. Thank you all for risking your lives to bring this mans escapades to light!

I had to look it up a few weeks ago for a Call of Cthulhu game and apparently old timey cars did have ignition locks but they were trivial to bypass for anyone with even a casual knowledge of how cars worked. The hard part would be actually driving an old heavy vehicle like a bus. It's not quite jumping in a tank and expecting a steering wheel but given the lack of standards and the fact it's a purpose built heavy machinery that assumes the operator would be trained specifically to operate it I'm guessing it's unlikely he'd be able to move it in any way that resembled driving. Maybe things were a bit more of a free for all back then but I suspect police would be a bit more aware of off-route buses and police cars where they shouldn't be. Especially during WWII when resources were limited enough that stealing and stripping a car was an extremely profitable exercise. Even today bus drivers don't go off-route lightly because it's almost certainly going to result in them encountering unfit roads or bridges and needing to drive 15 minutes in reverse because they can't turn around. You're calling in a specialist to plan that getaway route like it's a heist movie. Imagine it's wartime, you're on high guard for invasion and espionage, and you hear the roaring of a giant bus engine in the middle of the night as Papa Dux desperately tries to reverse through your paddock. You'd shoot him on the spot and wait for your medal to arrive. Anyway, I'm going to stop talking because otherwise I'll spend the rest of my life unpacking this one lie.

I know it's a minor nitpick in the history of the Dux of Bullshit, but I can't get over that one of them (Frank's father? Grandfather) stole cars and drove them recklessly with precision. Those two concepts just don't seem to go together.

Frank's stories of his father in Palestine are cribbed from the movie "Exodus." Does he think his father is Paul Newman?

I'm catching up on this podcast after getting back from a festival, and I just got to the part where a Karate (Judo? Jujutsu?) ghost ambushed 13-year-old Frank Dux in a locker room.
