Trying to decide how to effectively punish myself for being pretty sure I know what Tipper et al. were talking about with the Nutcracker tree lunacy.

In the Nutcracker ballet, there is a part where the little girl falls asleep under the Christmas tree, and then shrinks down so she is the same size as mice and the nutcracker soldier. In the live performances they usually do some theater tricks to make it look like the Christmas tree is getting bigger so the little girl seems proportionally smaller
