Happy Full Moon, witches! The Strawberry Full Moon in June 2025 will occur on Wednesday, June 11th, at 3:44 AM EDT. This full moon is also special because it will be the lowest full moon in the Northern Hemisphere until 2043, potentially appearing golden or orange due to its low position.

This full moon, named by Native American tribes for the ripening of wild strawberries, symbolizes abundance, growth, and the sweetness of life. However, shadow work encourages us to look at what's beneath the surface. With the energy of the Strawberry Moon, consider prompts that delve into areas of your life where you might be holding back, where growth feels stunted, or where you're not fully embracing your authentic self.

Here are some shadow work prompts for the Strawberry Full Moon:

Embracing Abundance and Scarcity:

  • The Strawberry Moon signifies a time of harvest and sweetness. Where in my life do I feel a sense of lack or scarcity? What beliefs do I hold that contribute to this feeling?

  • What fears prevent me from fully receiving abundance (whether it's love, money, opportunities, joy)? How can I begin to release these fears?

  • What "sweetness" or joy am I denying myself, perhaps because I feel unworthy or guilty?

Growth and Hidden Potential:

  • Strawberries grow from the earth, often hidden beneath leaves before they ripen. What parts of myself have I kept hidden or underdeveloped? What is holding me back from allowing these parts to ripen and flourish?

  • What unacknowledged talents or strengths do I possess? How can I bring these out of the shadows and into the light?

  • What aspects of my growth journey have felt difficult or even painful? How have these challenges ultimately contributed to my ripening?

Interconnectedness and Boundaries:

  • Strawberries often grow in clusters, symbolizing community and connection. Where do I struggle with healthy boundaries in my relationships? How might my "shadow" contribute to these struggles (e.g., fear of rejection, desire to people-please, need for control)?

  • What parts of myself do I present to others, and what parts do I keep hidden in relationships? What is the fear behind this hiding?

  • How do I react when others set boundaries with me? What does this reaction reveal about my own needs or insecurities?

Self-Nurturing and Release:

  • The act of harvesting strawberries requires care and attention. How well do I nurture myself, particularly in areas where I feel vulnerable or challenged?

  • What old habits, beliefs, or emotional "weeds" are preventing my inner garden from truly thriving? How can I gently but firmly release them under the light of this full moon?

  • What messages have I internalized about my worthiness or deservingness of good things? Where did these messages come from, and how can I reframe them?

Reflection and Integration:

  • As the moon shines its full light, what truths about myself am I ready to see and accept, even if they are uncomfortable?

  • How can I integrate the "shadow" aspects of myself – the parts I deem undesirable or difficult – so that I can become more whole and authentic?

  • What is one small step I can take this week to honor a hidden part of myself or to bring more light to a shadowed area of my life?

Some more additional questions!

What Makes Me Uncomfortable?

Think about something that recently made you feel uneasy, annoyed, or resistant. What about that situation or person triggered you? What does this discomfort reveal about something within yourself you might be avoiding?

My Secret Guilty Pleasure

We all have them! What's something you enjoy but feel you shouldn't, or something you keep hidden from others? What fear or judgment is attached to this pleasure, and how can you offer yourself more acceptance around it?

When I Feel Small

Recall a time when you felt less-than, unworthy, or invisible. What were the circumstances? What belief about yourself was activated in that moment, and where might that belief have originated?

What I Judge in Others

Think of a trait or behavior in someone else that really bothers you. How might that same trait, or its opposite, exist within you in some form? How can recognizing this connection soften your judgment?

My Go-To Escape

When things get tough, what's your immediate reaction or coping mechanism? (e.g., scrolling on your phone, overeating, withdrawing, getting angry). What emotion are you trying to avoid by reaching for this escape?

What Makes Me Grumpy?

What small things easily annoy or irritate you? What might these everyday irritations be trying to tell you about your own needs or boundaries?

My Favorite Compliment

What's a compliment you love to receive? How does accepting that compliment feel, and what part of you wishes it was acknowledged more often?

When I Said "Yes" But Meant "No"

Think about a time you agreed to something you didn't really want to do. What was the underlying fear or reason for not saying no?

What I Hide When I'm Sad

When you're feeling down, what do you tend to do or say to hide it from others? What feeling or vulnerability are you trying to protect?

A Small Regret

Is there a small, lingering regret you have, perhaps something you wish you'd said or done differently? What lesson might that regret be holding for you now?

Remember to approach shadow work with self-compassion and without judgment. Journaling, meditation, or quiet reflection under the light of the full moon can be powerful ways to engage with these prompts.
