Using water that has been charged with the energy of shooting stars you can create alternative ways to make your water based wishes. But where do you find enough shooting stars to get started? Look no further than the annual Perseid Meteor Shower that comes during August and can be seen from around the world!

Meteor showers are made up of the particles left from a comet’s trail. As the Earth passes through the dust and debris that was separated from the comet over hundreds of years ago we see vibrant streaks of brightly lit particles moving through our atmosphere at great speed. They look like streamers of light swooshing fleetingly across the dark night sky…we lovingly call these flashes of light shooting stars.

The annual Perseid Meteor Shower brings an abundance of ‘wishing stars’ and you can capture the essence of the wishing energy they bring.

You can capture their energy in water and then create heavenly wishing star water. All you need is a few simple ingredients and a clear night or two…and you leave the rest to the meteor shower.

What is wishing star water used for? Perseid Meteor Shower Infused Water, water charged by the shooting stars, can also be called heavenly wishing star water. This water can be used for a whole variety of purposes. Although you can’t drink this water or put directly on your skin, you can do many other things with it! You can only consume this water if you do not put any of the extras in! No witch hazel, no essential oils, no crystals unless you researched that you can consume it! Here are some other ways to use this water:

- Spritz it in the air to cleanse and create a sacred space

- Pour it into an obsidian bowl and divine with it

- Spray it over objects and bless the objects with it

- Spray the air in-front of you and step into the mist while making your wish

- Use it as the water element in your sacred altar

- Give it away as a gift!

- If you used water that’s consumable, (meaning no extras or double checking that you can consume!) you do you can infuse it with your intentions and wishes then drink it

- Shake the closed jar or container while you make your wishes

Make sure when you make this wishing star water that you make enough for your own needs and also that you have plenty left over to share, you’ll find you’ll be giving it away because as soon as your friends find out about it they may want some too!

TIME TO MAKE

It takes between 1 and 4 days to create this wishing star water depending on how strong you would like the wishing star water infusion to be.

You also need to place this water in a location outdoors where it will be fully exposed to clear night sky for as much of the night as possible.

WHAT YOU NEED

75ml of distilled water or fresh spring water.

An 8oz clear glass bottle (or a clean Jam jar) with tight fitting lid.

25ml Vodka (High proof) or Witch-Hazel

100ml Blue glass Bottle.

Screw on spray cap.

Optional: 5mm crystal clear Herkimer Diamond.

Optional: 20 drops essential oil blend of your choice

WHAT YOU DO

Put the water into your glass bottle. Seal the lid.

Place your container of water outside at night (bring it in during the day and store it in a dark cupboard)

After 3 nights outside your water is charged with the energy of the meteor shower.

Add the vodka or Witch-Hazel

Reseal the container and give it a good shake to mix things through.

Pour mix carefully into a dark blue glass bottle.

Optional: Add a Herkimer diamond crystal or perhaps some drops of your favourite essential oil blend

Seal with a spray top

Your wishing water is ready to use!

FINISH OFF

You can label your water as Perseid Wishing Star Water and add the recipe of what you used to it!

STORAGE & CAUTIONS

Store wishing star water in a cool dark cupboard away from heat and sunlight. Use within 6 months. Do not apply directly to the skin or consume unless you used purified or any drinking water.

ENHANCEMENTS/EXTRAS

If you’d like to enhance this wishing water further why not add a few special supercharging extras? Try adding a small ‘crystal clear’ Herkimer diamond to it. Herkimer diamonds are amazingly powerful crystals and even a little crystal really does go a long way!

Only add a crystal that has been cleared and programmed BEFORE you add it to your wishing elixir.

1. WHAT YOU NEED

A crystal clear Herkimer diamond crystal (roughly 5mm long) that has been cleansed, cleared and programmed

2. CLEARING YOUR CRYSTAL

Leave the little crystal out on a windowsill to bathe in the moonlight during the same nights you are charging your water. This cleans and clears the crystal. Moonlight is marvellous for clearing crystals.

3. PROGRAMME THE CRYSTAL

Just before adding it to the wishing water, take the clear crystal, hold it to your forehead and programme it, set an intention for the crystal…I’d say something like ‘Dearest crystal, bring your special properties to this magical wishing water, let this elixir work for the benefit of all that come into contact with it’. Then, straight away, I drop the crystal into the wishing water. Now you have the shooting star water and a gem elixir too, two potent intentions combined to make something very special indeed.

4. ADDING AN AROMA TO THE WISHING STAR WATER

If you’d like to enhance this wishing star water with an aroma add up to 20 drops of your favourite essential oil blend. I wouldn’t use synthetic perfumes no matter how good they might smell.

6 drops Ginger
