Dalaran goes sleuthing. Results are mixed.

UPDATE (27/08/23): I'd made a little error, the chapter mistakenly treated Wayland as if he'd lived in Alterac instead of Strahnbrad. I've fixed the issue, hopefully everywhere relevant.

Was the SI actually working on a farm? Or did I read that wrong?

He technically owns the farm but he doesn't work on it except during harvest, his dad and the farmhands handle that. He (fails to) invent stuff in his workshop instead.

What I am confused about is if there was something up with Hayward wouldn’t the MC have been able to see it with the help of the Light? Or what he just not checking? Because it makes no sense not to check when there were assassins avatar him and his family for a while. Edit: I am guessing the missed opportunity would have been missing the Mage before he was called back.

Light users can get thoroughly fooled by infiltrators canonically. The Scarlet Crusade never realized Saidan Dathrohan was replaced or possessed, for example. Paladins don't realize Loken is the blue witch in the mines either. And Arthas never even senses the 'great power' that the Prophet emanated, unlike Jaina. Also, this all happened before the MC got and began using Soulgaze.
