I had this pointed out to me recently and I just love it. Each weapon is the complete opposite of the turtle using them. Leo uses swords which are most lethal, yet he is uses them to knockout his opponent. Raph uses Sais a defensive weapon for often times stabbing. Donny uses a staff a simple weapon for the most complex thinker. Mickey uses nunchucks a weapon of focus and discipline, but he is the most scatterbrained.

Hun was actually an original character for this series, he's the big one. The Bruce Lee guy in the 2012 version was, I believe, the first alternate take on the character. He's one of my favorite in this series because he's more complex than he appears.
