These "movers" sure are a brutal, merciless pack of animals, huh.

Merciless, maybe. But I tip my hat to their fashion sense.

You could be on to something with a range of adoptable synth-sonas :3c

Obliviontoad

I would love to see this animated. HFS.

"A brutal, merciless pack of animals"? Who let Amon Harthrow write the post? (Also I went back through the entire comic looking for a specific reference for that joke, and I didn't find one, but I did see like three still-unsolved mysteries I had forgotten about. Holy moly Sen, what is the plotting document for Dark Science like???)

dresdencodak

You'd be horrified. 20% of it is in a shambling Scrivener document and 80% is in my brain, because my horrifying mutant power is having a photographic memory of fictional plots and literally nothing else.

dresdencodak

Anyway which still-unresolved mystery do you most want to see resolved

William Cole

Why Lemuria isn't on the map.

dresdencodak

Oh that's just because of good old fashioned Dark Science. Things disappear but only Kim remembers. Same with the number of planets in the solar system, etc.

Alex White

I probably overstated it, just a couple of minor things since the big dangling questions are easier to remember, but I was referring to 1) the fact that the Dark Scientists think Kaito is over 100 (page 79) despite the fact that they were seemingly dormant until Kim Yeong-Soo arrived in the city (p88) - possibly just a mistake on their part, possibly more, since Vonnie isn't stupid and seemingly had the previous Leviathan's knowledge at that point. 2) Kim Yeong-Soo is supposed to be a complete loner and nobody could/would work with him to track down Dark Science, but he was specifically speaking to someone in p44's recollection of finding Azra-el's tomb. And 3) The fire pendant Kim used against Leviathan the first time (maybe not a mystery per se, just more Giantslayer v Dark Science weirdness, but not explicitly covered since Thomas Caspar took it in p33 as far as I can tell, so it could potentially come up later).

Alex White

Actually, I guess 1) could just be a subset of the ongoing mystery about how big chunks of Kim's personal life got Dark Scienced - maybe even the Aligeri find it difficult to overcome that, and forgot how hard it would be for an 80+-year-old man to have a daughter; 2) could just be a TVcat; and 3) too small to really notice. Ah well, at least we still have the Big Questions left.

Biggest confusing thing to me in the comic is who's running the whole city. The Dark Scientists seem to have an awful lot of pull, and yet act as if they're in opposition to whoever's in charge.
