The last frame suggests she's already about to dispute the presented dilemma. I wonder if that's present Kim, or young Kim? She had a bad relationship with her dad at the time, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he presented The Way Things Are and she asked the right questions even as a child; but she's also grown and perhaps might now know more if she went along with it as a kid.
