Fleeing with the princess - Shadamy (Patreon)

Hello guys! How are you doing on this fine evening?

A Knight x Princess AU was next on the list of what you wanted to see, so here's my take on the trope!

I don't really have a story for them as in, frankly, this isn't my fav AU for shadamy but I like to put them in a scene and I wanted to do something emotional but also kinda scenic as we often see in renaissance painting. Here the Knight is fleeing the castle with the Princess after it's been under attack. In my mind Amy will always be a fighter, here she sole a shortsword from a dead soldier and defended herself too (we will need a training montage while they are on the run of course). Then as the evening falls, they hide from the rain under a pine tree and Amy, with no proper clothes to keep her dry and warm, accept Shadow's protection against the elements. Then she can finally process what happened.

Were they already close before the siege of the castle starts or were they near strangers? Whatever the case they will obviously get closer during their journey to safety. I want to hear your headcanons!

I normally go historically accurate for the outfits but I know that we all like flowing hair and badass armors so I just mixed different styles from the 1450-1500's for Amy's dress.

I also tried to get close to a medieval painting style. It was my first time trying it. I hope to get better at it in the future, when I have more time to actually study it.
