Shadamytober : Brains (Patreon)

Hi guys! I'm back from my vacation and I had a wonderful time! Finally something that goes according to plan this year. It's only October! sigh

But yeah, had no opportunities to post on Patreon at all. That also means I'm way late for the Shadamytober. But you still get Early access, I'll just be late on social medias too lol

Thank you for your understanding. For the theme "brains" I wanted to explore both of thel having the same insecurities around relationship and their own behavior and worthiness. They're sharing the same "brain", the same thoughts.

Amy has canonically showns that she is lonely and has abandonement issues. i'm not the only Amy fan who thinks after a lifetime of getting nowhere with Sonic - and noone else for that matter - the bubbly and courageous woman would become insecure. She's been told, even shown that she is too much and was never reciprocated a hug - although I hope it changes in canon in the future. She has a womanly fire in her, yet as she becomes an adult, she might struggle to use it in a way that fits her view of femininity. Nothing is wrong with her of course but her newfound insecurities might make her think that she should change herself. In my book it should be short-lived as she finds better way to communicate her needs and is simply too much herself to tone herself down too long. But I wouldn't be surprised if dating could open that wound. She thought just being upfront and go getter was going to get her her man and she was wrong; she might not be so sure about her capacity to do romance for a time.

As for Shadow, well, he hasn't considered romance for most of his life, has not even considered getting close to anyone. And here he gets closer to Amy because she keeps coming to him and is so damn easy to talk to and likable and adorable - and feelings sneak up on him, getting so strong he cannot deny them anymore. Yeah, they got the guts to ask each others out but what does he do now? He barely allows himself to want things, and Sonic x Shadow Generations has established that he is somewhat ashamed of how he was created. We don't know what he thinks of everything bad he has done while he was brain washed or amnesiac; because how much of him actually wanted to do those things, deep down? And after living on the planet, meeting so many different people, that are maybe stronger than him in so many ways that have nothing to do with chaos powers - what does he think of himself? Does he find himself lacking? Yet it is established that he feels a lot. He is a very intense character. If he can blow up a whole planet in 48h because his heart hurts too much and a lil' brainwashing, if he can master so much chaos energy while it is established in canon that chaos energy is managed by emotions - why, it's a receipe for a very needy person too.

In my head it would be awkward between them at first (no thanks to Shadow's lack of communication) and it would all come to heads when one of them says "well, I'm toxic x and y way, so there!!" and the other one is like "well, me too, I would have you know, so what now??" and they kiss and realize they understand each other in a way they didn't know was possible, and have a chance to heal.

Basially two needy people giving each others all the love and attention the other actually need because they cannot be "too much" to each others so they can actually get their tank full - then relax and heal.

Let me know your headcanon on how their relationship would start! it would be eventful with those two.
