It’s that time again!

For the last few years, as a thank you to Patrons I do a journal comic for every day of december(or at least until I go home for the holidays). It’s a nice way to mark the end of the year, and to tell you all how much I appreciate you all!

I must admit, since I roast my own coffee, I haven't had a latte in a long time. Milk disguises the flavors.

Oh I love making lattes with different beans! 100% the milk masks it quite a bit, but I’ll still notice different quality and flavours with different roasters. What kind of beans do you roast?

Oh, I roast some from all over. This year I bought a 1Kg roaster, and a 1/2 bag (30Kg) of Tanzanian beans. So I've been roasting for me, and friends. I also have Coast Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Kenya, Myanmar, Guatemala, Timor, and Peru. My mechanic thinks I walk on clouds. I've also roasted beans from India, Australia, and Hawaii. I've kind of avoided things like kopi luwak, though. Recently, the best that I've tasted was from a fellow in Reno who roasts using a 1950s wood-fired roaster. The smoke adds a certain something to the roast. Until I tasted his coffee, I didn't know I had a coffee bucket list! If you can find someone where you live who roasts using wood, I definitely recommend trying some.

Oh interesting!! I know Toronto has a fair number of local roasters, so I’ll definitely keep my ear out. Thanks for the tip!
