Jan 11 - Godslave Outline and website issues (Patreon)

Hey everyone, happy new year! There’s a lot to be said about 2020 now moving into 2021 that has already been said into infinity. So I’ll just say, hey I’m happy we’re here and to have you.

It didn’t take long for my schedule to fill up this month! Classes don’t start until February 1st, so I’m hard at work putting syllabuses together and trying to wrap up freelance before they come back! One big project this month is putting together an Outline for Godslave!

Last year I was asked to write an outline for the Godslave series for a Hiveworks editor so that they can help me moving forward. You might be wondering ‘isn’t this something you should have had before launching?’ And the answer is yes. But I don’t.

I’ve had a rough plan for Godslave- a point A and point B. But because I get impatient with planning and like to change my mind when I think I have a better idea, I avoided writing outlines until I’m in the thick of the chapter. But I’ve learned more and more that some of the writing issues I’ve had with characters or Godslave could have absolutely been avoided if I’d had the time to plan them better.

So! Up above is what I’ve started putting together. I wrote out the first five chapters to get warmed up and remind myself of the storylines and arcs. I’ll post the first five chapters up for y’all to see how the beats are broken down!

Some of you might have noticed Take Off and my portfolio site have been down for a little while. The issues seem to lay with my domain host and I’m in the middle of trying to sort it out, so hang tight for me! It has lead to me wondering what to do with Take Off!’s archive and website.. maybe another project for this year?

Last year was obviously /a lot/, and this year seems to be shaping up to something similar. It’s made me rethink how to set goals/resolutions this year. What about you guys? How are you setting goals this year?
