Godslave 6 delete scene (Patreon)

Funny story: I had an idea for how to end this scene. Chen and Kai would run up, having stopped their fighting when they saw the sphinx taking off. With the sphinx loose, the priority for the blacksmiths becomes containing the sphinx rather than just keeping it from Edith. And since Edith is the only one who can teleport far enough to reach the sphinx in the air, a temporary truce is formed. The scene would end with the blacksmiths conceding to Edith and Kai for the greater good.

It’s not that I don’t like the idea, it just took the emotional hook of the scene and Edith’s mental space to a very different place from where I needed it this chapter.

And it wasn’t until I got to the lettering that I realized all this.

SO, Monday’s update will have to be pushed to Thursday so I can finish up this scene properly. In the meantime, enjoy a page that won’t be posted anywhere else!
