Hey everyone! This has been an odd and stressful month that I'm looking forward to the end of haha. I am fine, but as the title suggests, it's been non-stop here.I'm still working on the main project I spoke about, No Moderation. I'm on inking duties right now!

I was hoping to have these inks done earlier. Like.. at the beginning of August. But a family emergency took me away from the office for a week, and then a bunch of little projects came in that I had to jump on. One of which, the cover was just released for!

First: no I'm not using a confusing pen name. Megan Kearney is actually a dear friend of mine! She illustrated the book, and I did the colours! And a bunch of edits on and off over the last few weeks. It's been frustrating, but the book is super cute and it's been a fun learning experience as well.

Then, I got offered to try out for a graphic novel from the same editor. It was a paid test and it's more of the kind of work I'm looking for, so I took it💪

AND THEN: my agent tasked me with coming up with 10 contemporary MG/YA graphic novel ideas. And with everything going on I... came up with 6. But 6 that I think I'd have a lot of fun with all the same! It was an interesting exercise. Up until now, I usually would come up with an idea and ruminate on it for 2+ years of doodles and imagined scenes before seeing anything concrete from it. So to bang out concepts and themes and ideas on the fly was very foreign! Here's the spot art I did for each concept🌻

The idea is that we'll pick one of these ideas to develop into a full pitch for the editor! On the bright side, the inking should be finished up next week and the rest of these projects are done with. However, school starts next month. So the Fall will continue to be an exercise in time management :')
