Hey everyone! I wanted to take some time this month to plan for what you'd like to see from the Patreon this year.

The big thing this year, of course, is that Godslave is now doing update drops every 2 months (the next one for Patreon coming at the end of this month, and 1st week of February for the website!)

We also tried a lot of different experiments for the Patreon last year that I really enjoyed! Art streams, illustration prompts, spoiler posts and commissions.  The big thing I'd like to carry over are the illustration prompts, they're something every tier can enjoy and it's a fun exercise for me as well! Spoilers tier has also been a lot of fun, as it's a great way to share Godslave in between drops.  But I'd like to hear from you!

🔸What did you enjoy from 2021?  🔸What would you like to see more of?  🔸Is there something you'd like us to try?  🔸What do you want from the Patreon in 2022?

Whatever gets me more Godslave is fine by me. I know that isn't particularly helpful, and there's only so much control you have over the amount of Godslave you can put out, considering that you have to, like, eat and pay rent and stuff. I am enjoying the bigger drops. Despite my desire to get as much Godslave as possible, it's nice that you don't have to rush a page out as often, trying to squeeze its production into an otherwise busy week. You've put out some gorgeous work over the course of the comic, and I look forward to seeing more. Eleven thumbs-up!

I am just here in the Good Human tier to support you. It's cool to see extra stuff - I enjoy everything you do (though I don't usually watch the streams) - but it's not necessary for me. Just do what is most sustainable and energizing for you. I am just grateful that Godslave is continuing, when so many webcomics I followed have gone on hiatus indefinitely.

I know you’ve talked about a postcard tier in the past, which I think would be really cool. Also, would you ever consider making a commission tier but for digital only art?

GODSLAVE

I appreciate the input! You might think it isn't helpful, but what I'm getting from this is 'more focus on Godslave content, whatever that content might be', which is very helpful!

GODSLAVE

I think a postcard tier would be very cool! And a way to utilize that illustration prompt poll more consistently! I would probably do a test run by opening it up to a few spots, and then open up a bit more once I've got the hang of it. Digital only commissions are an interesting idea! I could do a single character, full-colour tier for 40 dollars? And then, like the physical commission tier, stagger it at 20$ a month.

GODSLAVE

I appreciate it! I enjoy the streams, but it seems it's not my strong suit and never really took off, which is a good thing to know as well! It means I can narrow my focus on what people actually respond to and enjoy.

Ooh, then let me clarify: although I do enjoy the supplementary material, my overwhelming interest is in additional Godslave *pages* -- canon narrative, as the kids say. This is not to say that I'm against pin-ups, AU stuff, etc.! I know how creative stuff works, so I understand how drawing a page of non-Godslave/AU material doesn't *necessarily* mean that a page of Godslave was delayed. Different work is often fueled from different sources. (For instance, I enjoy your journal comics, and they surely come from a different place than the Godslave narrative.) Anyway, I appreciate your transparency and willingness to experiment with schedules for the good of the comic, and hope that you will continue to experiment as needed. The previous bundle of pages is evidence that the new system works better than the old one. Thanks again!

I think both would be really cool additions! also, I had another thought, it would be super cool to see old conceptual stuff from when you were planning godslave/scrapped content, if youre willing to share!

I joined for Godslave. I don't really watch streams or follow your other project. I do love your daily slice of life comics about your life (the advent calendar). That said, however you do Godslave that gets more quality content out is excellent. Oh, I REALLY loved the fun comics about the Egyptian mythos.

You could also give the option to have it maybe quarterly for postcards instead of every month? Might be a bit easier/cheaper when you consider shipping. Bookmarks are nice too. Does anyone use bookmarks besides me anymore?
