You did jump the line! Twice. But it is not confusing in a static scene. Did you do it to add some visual motion to echo Edith's inner turmoil? To irk Heru? Just because? :-)

The first is I wanted to show Heru moving away from the desk and closer to Edith- so not completely having made the gap but still in transition from his chair to her? And then the second only because I wanted to have Heru in that 2nd last panel and Edith's reaction in the last :PPPP

You're right. I didn't notice at first... In panel #5 Heru's chair is on Edith's left, like in #1. So it's Heru who crossed the line, and you didn't.
