**A Giant Christmas Youkai Cat!? (Patreon)

Dear Shrine Parishioners, thank you as always for your kind support! This is Rebis.

I’d planned to have one more youkai illustraiton ready for Christmas from "Anime-Tamae!" world, but I came down with a cold, so it’s a bit late… my apologies!

That said, we’re still in the holiday season, so I hope you’ll forgive me.

Today’s topic is the giant cat youkai of Iceland… the fearsome “Yule Cat” that goes after people at Christmas!

Of course, since this is the world of Anime-Tamae! we’re talking about, I’ve designed it as a giant cat youkai girl. It’s said to be a black cat, so I’ve given her black hair and dark skin!

So, what sort of yokai is it, exactly?

In addition to the above link, as usual, I've uploaded JPG, high-resolution version, and PSD file to Dropbox. Please download and enjoy them from the link under the Membership tab.Even if the link shows “Forbidden,” you can still view the artwork via Dropbox!

The Yule Cat—known in Icelandic as “Jólakötturinn”—is a black cat about the size of a house that prowls the Icelandic countryside on Christmas Eve. They say it attacks and devours any child not wearing at least one new article of clothing. In Iceland, there was apparently a custom where good children would receive new sweaters or socks at Christmas, so bad kids were fated to be eaten by the Yule Cat. You might call it a monster invented to scare children into behaving!

These days, people no longer truly fear the Yule Cat. It’s treated more like a fun Halloween or haunted-house spook—an affectionate nod to its frightful origins.

In the world of Anime-Tamae!—--

Now that people don’t take the Yule Cat seriously anymore, this giant cat youkai changed its ways after spending too much time on the naughty parts of the internet, deciding “For Christmas, you gotta wear ecchi costume! Anyone who isn’t wearing skimpy cos will get eaten!” Thus, she evolved into a giant black-cat gyaru yokai!

For the illustration this time, I imagined her encountering Tetek-san, who’s heading out to the convenience store on Christmas. It’s a showdown between huge boobs and an even huger boobs-— how will it end?

It might also be fun to have her show up as an acquaintance of other naughty cat youkai girls from US, like Silver Cat, Sprinter Cat, or Cactus Cat!

With this holiday-themed youkai, I believe this will be my final update of the year.

Between family issues and my own health problems, updates have been a bit slow this year… but I’m hoping to be back in full form for 2025.

Thank you as always for your continued support! Wishing you a wonderful new year!
