They Live (1988) Full-Length Unedited Reaction: https://streamable.com/y2thz6

Terrific subtext & satire, amazing one-liners/quotes, and a FIGHT SCENE LIKE NO OTHER! I didn't want the fight scene to end too quickly...I got my wish.

Grab your own copy of They Live (1988) and get ready to hit play at the same time!

I rented it off of Vudu, but you might be able to find it streaming for free on *other* sites. It's worth finding the full-length for this one...believe me! Too many good quotes to fit them all in the YouTube edit. :D

*I wanted to go ahead and give you the full-length unedited a day earlier than planned/the schedule, and the YT edit will be out tonight or first thing in the morning!

(IF IT LOADS IN 720P, MAKE SURE TO CHANGE IT TO 1080P, on Streamable):) 4k coming ASAP! Shouldn't be long!

Enjoy!

BTW I have been a film critic for a while now so happy to pass down some equally tasty sci-fi flicks you have not seen - Enemy Mine, Deep Star Six, Dark City, Silent Running, Sunshine, Moon

I like how you prefer to go into movies blind, I'm much the same way. Hard to know how to best suggest stuff to you that way though ;) Also don't want to just dump a giant page of text with like 50 movies listed either. Here's 10 with just the name and date. that I think would be of interest that were successful but mostly aren't the top of everyone's mind. If you like I can try and give you something to tease your interest in any that grab you while giving away as little as possible. Dazed and Confused (1993) Captain Blood (1935) In the Name of the Father (1993) The Bad News Bears (1976) Heathers (1988) Hard Candy (2005) Boogie Nights (1997) A Fish Called Wanda (1988) The Warriors (1979) Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)

This is terrific; thank you, Kenton! Out of all of these I've only seen two of them: Dazed and Confused (own it still, I believe), and Heathers (wish I owned it). I will still be posting some lists of movie I've seen. The time will come. 😂 Thank you, again for these! Love suggestions!

I’m gonna put my comments in nested replies to myself so they’re not overbearing … sorry, if I’m too talkative Speaking of 4K, this is the first opportunity I’ve had to watch my 4K copy of They Live (Shoutfactory has the steelbook version. Comes out in like a week, the new cover looks awesome https://shoutfactory.com/product/they-live-limited-edition-steelbook-1?product_id=7975) This scan looks incredible! The HDR is really nice Dude, I haven’t thought about The Net in 20 years … I don’t remember it being accurate at the time, though (cont.)

I was planning on suggesting all of these later, BUT since you’re asking I’ll do it now John Carpenter movies you need to see: In the Mouth of Madness, Vampires (I can’t STAND James Woods, but the movie is still one to watch), Starman (Jeff Bridges is also given the Kurt Russell-Carpenter look, also Karen Allen <3), and The Fog (So underrated) Oh and John Carpenter made a TV movie about Elvis starring Kurt Russell. Which is even MORE amazing when you see a movie called 3000 Miles to Graceland where Kurt Russell and Kevin Costner play Elvis impersonators who pull a heist in Vegas (not a Carpenter movie, though) Once you get through all those, there are still other Carpenter movies, but they’re decidedly not as stand out amazing. The Thing is probably his best film, overall
