As you may already be aware (if not, why not) the next series of Transport Fever is fast approaching, actually make that very fast approaching. For this next series I intend to use fictional cities rather than anything real world, and since I'll be on a big map I've a goodly amount of towns to name...Suggestions please! Any fictional town will do, fantasy, sci-fi, comic, anything you like really. I'll choose my favourites for the series. You have around 2 days to make your suggestions.-CF

Winchestertonfieldville

A Guy Called Pi

I always have a Burghburgh on my maps. Otherwise, any John Hughes fans will be thrilled to find the town of Shermer, famously not located anywhere in Illinois.

A Guy Called Pi

Whoville, New Oldsburgh, Portport, Burghburgh, Villville, Atlantis, Airstrip One, Quahog, South Park, Springfield, Hogsmeade, Shangri-La, Liberty City, Grestin, Night Vale.....

John Kennington

Ankh-Morpork. Sto Lat, Ramtops, Uberwald. Djelibeybi . Just to name a few.

A Guy Called Pi

Strangetown, Pleasantview, Veronaville, Magic Town, Brindleton Bay, Appaloosa Plains, Windenburg.....

SaturnMist09

So many good names to choose from. You could have Hogsmeade, Failurewood, Steggoland, Q'onos, Riza, Terra Nova, Autumnspell, Riverwharf OR....maybe not the town name but something has to be called SHUT UP or SHUT UP II. lol!

SaturnMist09

You really need to do Failurewood and have it surrounded by woods or a theme park or cowboys. haha (depends on the map)

MAC Sandsquid

Oscar Wienerville, Right-so-yes-now what, New Dozerville

Mr_Hipbone

Failurewood, Migginsville... Luna City 7 (my idea of heaven) Otisburgh

The TM1 Channel (aka Kirkus Octavius)

I expect that all of the nerdish names from Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones et al will be covered, so I'll go a little more obscure; Vigàta or Montelusa. Or if an Anglo sounding name is needed I'll be even more cryptic unless you're Gregory Peck; Archbury.

Vektrix

Vekingham, Paraiy

Neil Murphy

Whiterun, Erendale, Asgard

Lombardio

Bespin. Everyone likes a bit of cloud city. Miranda, the planet from Serenity.

Dave Dickson (fetom)

Gallifrey, Mt.Thomas, Boganville, Puckeye Heights, Deadwood, Bedrock, Sunnydale, Whitecliff By The Sea, Nostromo, LV-426, P3X-888, Dakara, Aldebaran III ,

Johannes Saari

I think we need another Krakow, just to see how you manage to spell it

Tsass0

The Big Fish, The Big Potato, The Big Sheep, Failure's Delight, Cabbage Tree

Tsass0

And a couple of really easy ones that u'd have no prop. remembering, unlike Krakow (nice town by the way) ....

Tsass0

Saint Mary's Church in the hollow of the white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the Church of St. Tysilio of the red cave. OR Place where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, who slid, climbed and swallowed mountains, known as land-eater, played his flute to his loved one.

Michael Lyttle

The town of Temporary should be a good place for bulldozer action, twinned with Liability.

Daniel & Keeley

Andromeda, Dozerville, and I'll second Failurewood, Migginsgrad, and Cape Disapointment

The Skipper

If near a river, how about Bellows Falls, my home town (that's in the US btw).

James Whitehouse

How about Cheyenne. That's the town in Wyoming where the Union Pacific Big Boys were housed.

NH Birddog

I second "Bellows Falls"...my hometown also!! Also I like "Klondis Purdle", "Table Rock" "Pepbaday (Pe-Ba-Day) Corners" or "Pebaday Falls"

June Vollans

Would Fraggle Rock work for you? It's definitely fantasy. Neverland Lake? Moray Eel Park? Big Sleep City? Goldfinger Mining District? That should give you at least one good one. :)

niall mcgrath

the twin cities of Success and Failure.

niall mcgrath

Bulldozerville, Flattened, Forgetville, Incompetopolis, Distractville, Wherewhatwhen, hedidwhatnow

Dan Leas (Elzar760)

Failures Hope was a reference to a forgotten settlement on a rimworld planet.

Martyn

Little Dithering

Dan Pettersson

Apple Lane, the little village that was the base of the scenario pack that came with the Runequest 2 box (around 1982ish.)

Heine Knudsen

"Serenity Valley" , and just for laughs "knuckledragger knob"

Heine Knudsen

"Nowhere"- or name places after what kind of industry they provide. Texas -oil Sweden - lumber etc. etc.

Hello Colonel. I just recently got home from a trip, so I was a bit behind on your Transport Fever videos. I've finished the stream, whole lot of fun. But I noticed one thing that might be useful in the future series. All cars, wagons, buses, and trucks and what have you, all have a specific loading time multiplier. I noticed this when you almost put the wrong bus in Detroit. You did put on a bus with 5x losing speed, but almost went for a bus with near identical specs but a 1x loading speed. Something to consider when you make long trains perhaps?

Schwert_2015

Hey Colonel, I've started playing Transport Fever again. This time I've decided -- no trucks. Trolleys and Trains only. Putting stations right into the cities, making copious use of the bulldozer to blow up whatever is in my way. Wah hah hah.!
