It's the end of the year schedule!

To start things off, rather than the standard piece of popular culture mercilessly butchered to shape whatever narrative I'm spinning, here are the top 10 videos on this channel from the past year. Some of these released before 2019, but these are the most viewed on the channel in the past 12 months.

  • 1: 129,000 views Train Simulator 2019 Portsmouth Harbour
  • 2: 123,000 views Transport Fever 2 Press Tour and Developer Interview
  • 3: 82,000 views Workers and Resources Soviet Republic episode 1
  • 4: 78,000 views Railroad Corporation episode 1
  • 5: 60,000 views Transport Fever 2 Totally Tropical episode 1
  • 6: 56,000 views Train Sim World Long Island Railroad
  • 7: 48,000 views Derail Valley episode 1
  • 8: 43,000 views Train Sim World Northern Trans Pennine
  • 9: 41,000 views Transport Fever Peninsula episode 1
  • 10: 39,000 views Transport Fever Natural Envionment Mod (Mainline episode 21)

Hmm. I suppose trains are quite popular then. Not baseball. Pity.

As a special bonus, here are 7 videos from 2019 that received very few views that I think are quite a lot of fun.

I gave myself third degree burns making soup (Cooking Simulator)

I Ain't Got Time To Bleed (TheHunter Call of the Wild)

The secret to Uber Driver top rating (Wreckfest)

Happy shopping (Untitled Goose Game)

Surselva Line (Train Simulator 2020)

Let's Play Satisfactory Really Really Well (Satisfactory)

Cheerio! A brand new social network (Startup Company)

My aim is to provide a solid chuckle while making videos I think you'll like (with occasional ones I just fancy for the sake of it). Due to the popularity of my various transport series I have rather thrust myself into a train-shaped pigeonhole. That's fine. I like trains. The aim however is to go just a little further than that, and I have 2 new series coming up that are outside the train-shaped orifice I in which I currently reside. Do not panic.

Try a couple of my recommended section above if you're at a loose end, and you'll see how my brand of nonsense translates beyond the iron horse.

Meanwhile, here's an opportunity for you to have your say: what was your favourite video (from me) in the past 12 months? That's anything from TSW Northern Trans Pennine (first video of the year) to now! Sunshine Funbus? Best submarine crew ever? Duck? House Flipper? Transport Fever episode 62?

Let me know in the comments and I might do more like it.

Have a splendid new year folks, I'll be back in 2020.

I loved the Kerbal Space videos...Rip tanrod. Everything from a good chuckle at a moment's notice. To all out belly laughs.

Hi Colonel, I liked the duck video, maybe some My Summer Car or Derail Valley.

My favourites have to be the ones that didn't do as well - don't know what that says about me! Think the Tourist Bus series was my favourite although I was crying with laughter at the Cooking Simulators ones. It only took 10 minutes of playing it myself to realise you weren't bad on purpose. And as a convert to the channel this year, I did delve into a lot of the Steggs stuff and loved the Mudrunner videos as well

David Bulwer

Oh - and the spicy Goose action as well

Lombardio

I rather enjoyed the Untitled Goose Game antics, Prison Architect has been fun to watch, and I hope you take another crack at Rise of Industry sometime.

David Bulwer

Sorry for the spamming but forgot making Riley cry in Overcrowd. Another crying with laughter moment. I have just bought the new game that looks similar - Stationflow. Don't know if that will be up your street or not and haven't played it yet to know how good it is.

Favourite? That's a tough one because there are so many that made me laugh and even more that made me chuckle. There are a couple that I remember vividly... Untitled Goose was a good one for making me feel good; that one Train Simulator where you drove the train backwards for pretty much the whole video and then ended up standing at the side of the tracks watching your train leaving you behind. That was epic. Overcrowd was also a good one; the chef one did make me laugh out loud a lot; the Tourist Bus was good fun. Car repairs was good fun too. And the prison series. Oh heck Colonel, there are a lot of videos that you have done that have made me just feel good as I watched and after. When Steggs can come out to play again... well, you and he together are just awesome.

I, for one, love the Startup Company and Software Inc videos. Ling 'o Blend. Classic. Then again I am a sucker for any management style game and don't particularly like trains, so I suppose my preference is unsurprising.
