I usually post this on Tuesday

But I got distracted, oh yay

And I finish a series

New Transport Fever's coming any day

No-one watches the baseball

Despite the comment'ry being great

Hey there, viewer, why don't you step up to the plate?

You can't visit the movies

You can't see a film without a path

This schedule's for real

And it closes with weeding in the dark

Yeah I chose a tough one here, because the boss likes singing in haiku. Cheers, the boss. You're the real hero of the piece.

It also doesn't "close" with weeding in the dark at all, that's today's thrilling farm adventure. Whatever, they can't all be gold.

Anyway, let's keep this to the point shall we?

  • Wed: Farming Simulator
  • Thu: Probably Transport Fever, if not, switch with Friday's Soviet
  • Fri: Soviet Republic (no mucking about in this one). Might have a bonus Farm Sim too. Might not.
  • Sat: Transport Fever
  • Sun: Baseball, you heathens. Possibly with extra Farm Sim. Definitely if another one didn't show up on Friday.
  • Mon: Transport Fever
  • Tue: Soviet Republic, and the schedule.

Once Soviet Republic is past 20 episodes the steely gaze of the woodchipper will start to fall upon it. Right now it's just below the safe mark, but it won't remain that way. As Yazz and the Plastic Population once wrote, "The only way is down. Baby." I'm hoping to get the series to 30 parts then suspend it for a while so I can cover something else. I'll almost certainly return to it in the future, but I don't want to remain static for too long.

Other changes coming up... Transport Fever 2 will drop to 2 episodes per week at some point in February, again so I can cover a greater variety of games (also because it stops game fatigue setting in with my commentary - 2 is a good number). What will happen in its place? Right now I'm looking at a system that looks like this:

  • M: Series A
  • T: Series B
  • W: Series C
  • T: Series A
  • F: Series B + F
  • S: Series C
  • S: Series D + E + X

What are these series's's'?

A - Transport Fever

B - TBC

C - Farm Sim

D - Baseball (to be replaced with something glorious at season end)

E - Cities Skylines

F - Train Sim (World) and other one-offs, when there is one

X - The backer exclusive series. Right now it's Prison Architect. A vote is coming for what the replacement will be.

This is about max capacity for me right now if I waste zero time. Everything is subject to change. But not my hairstyle. That's staying put until I can no longer pull it off without appearing like someone living in denial.

At some point I'll need to find an editor. A good one. One who gets what we're trying to do here. But we're not quite there yet. The good news however is that I'm pretty happy with the Farm Sim series - it's getting pretty close to what I want to be producing. If you've not checked it out yet, and you enjoy the senseless rambling mixed with occasional yelling at the game give it a go, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Okay, that'll do. I'm going back to mulling the video I want to make about my notional ideal video philosophy.

I used to watch the baseball, not that I understood it, and I thought that over time I'd see the subtleties of the game and appreciate the excitement that seems the grip our colonial brothers. It didn't happen. I started to dip through episodes, clicking the timeline to move things along, but then that became a chore. About the only thing that interested me was Bam Bam's hip wiggle. So I gave up. What we need is a decent cricket simulator. Something with a bit of heart stopping tension. War played out over 22 yards of manicured turf.

I tend to watch pretty much everything you upload... unless it's something I either really, really don't like, or I can't watch because it makes me nauseous (1st person games do that to me). Having said that, I'm really enjoying some things and am 'meh' about others. Baseball doesn't feel as fun this time around. I don't laugh as often while watching. I'm not sure why. Prison Architect is very fun and funny to me and I'm loving Farm Sim. This new Transport Fever (2) series should be really fun to watch because the ground is a bit lumpy and the place costs a fortune to do anything on. Soviet Republic... really enjoying that one too! Glad to see Cities and Train Sim coming into the mix. It should be a good time. :) Thanks for all of your hard work, Colonel. You do a great job of giving us good entertainment.

Well, I'm finally caught up on the current series . I'm enjoying Transport Fever 2 and Workers and Resources. I'm enjoying Farm Sim too much (might have a screw loose). I'm watching the baseball and using it to practice scoring baseball games. I'm wondering why you shelved KSP? Time constraints?

Learning curve primarily. To go any further working on intuition only was a bit of a non starter - it started to feel repetitive. Great game, but only really worth playing properly. If I play games properly, the commentary dries up.

I have tried many times to enjoy the baseball, but I can't get the fact that its just fancy rounders out of my head. Also, I don't like sport, which is obviously unrelated.
