From a very small television set I bring you a few thoughts about games, and my own potted history as a gamer. The original edit of this had a slightly longer ending, but somehow I think you'll prefer the one I've gone with...

Excellent...I am beginning to think you are my alter ego. Our hardware history is very similar and there is a lot of cross over on games played. Being older than you I had to go to work and bring up children during the genesis of gaming, so had to be more selective in games played. Plus the kids began to monopolise the computer which meant no play time for Dad. Wizball on the Amiga was one favourite. My eldest son was an early "Colonel" type, he would "allow" his siblings to "watch" him play games rather than let them play themselves!!! I'm not sure what twit watch is, I'll have to find out.... Keep up the good work. If you could manage a new episode each night my better half would be most impressed. She uses you as some sort of Horlicks substitute, your delivery sends her to sleep ........

My first computer was big red thing with touch keyboard, I guess membrane keyboard is the right term. It had few games, Pacman, some sort of tank battle and space ship shoot aliens, probably Space Invaders mash up. I later had C64, Amiga 500, PC, Playstation but PC has been the thing, never was console type of player. Over 30 years of gaming (yikes!), lots have changed since I started.

I started with the Vic20. Then graduated up to the Comodore64 which was a great system. I think my dad spent something like $700 or $800 on the Commodore, which in the mid-80s was a crap ton of money. We also had a n Atari and after that we got into the NES and I've just climbed the console ladder only recently getting into PC gaming again thanks to Jingles and him exposing World of Warships and World of Tanks to me.
