As we do every 9 years that I've been a performing video monkey, it's time for a Colonel Failure Fail Brigade Traditional AMA live stream!

Crikey.

I'll run the stream as an unlisted event on YouTube and will share the link a day or so before it happens.

When? Sunday 3rd September. 19:00 UTC. I'll do 2 hours, and with the possibility of more if everyone is having a really terrific time. (By everyone, I mean me).

What topics will be talked about? Pretty much anything and everything. The challenge on my part will be to keep answers short enough that more than one question is actually answered. Any forbidden topics? In theory, no. In practise, probably. You can ask whatever you like but I'll need to reserve the right to duck questions that violate the Geneva Convention or similar legal documents.

You can pre-ask questions now but I will take followups from anyone who feels like tuning in.

So, waddya wanna know?

Considering your experiences working for video game developers, what is it actually like? As in culture, attitudes to gamers, managers etc. Any insights into this topic would be interesting if you're able to share without getting yourself into bother of course.

VuVu Boyz is obviously just an extended interview for your next day job. How’s that working out?

Claes Buurgaard-Jepsen

What is the story behind the bombastic intro? Your thoughts about the need for it. Process of getting it made. Afterthoughts?

Will VR ever work for games, or is the barrier to use just too high? Is VR's future only one-off installations where you go to an exhibition and experience VR as part of that, or will Meta/Apple/someone else eventually breakthrough?

Wimpie

Two questions: - How’s the job hunting going, anything interesting on the horizon? Obviously answers as you’re permitted to give without getting into trouble. - What’s that garden project of yours? Reaaaalllly curious about that one hahaha

How do you feel about Youtube video Super Thanks? Personally I don't care for the spotlight of it, would much rather something more discreet.

Q1) What are your thoughts on TSW4 being announced/released only 12 or so months after TSW3? Q2) Did you manage to keep to your word, and stay off whatever it was you said you were going to quit after your holiday back in June?

kaldo

Layup question here ;). What's your preference when it comes to receiving money from your adoring fans?

MrB aka {tBs}Twister

Q1: Is there any one person that you have mentored during you time in the industry that has gone on to do better than you thought. And are you still in touch with them.

What's you're top 3 things on your bucket list?

What's the process in trying to determine when to jump on a game for a series? The Jumplight Odyessy series looks like it would have been perfect for your channel, but being one of the first with content ran into the brick wall of "Way too early Early Access". Given your oftstated vow to not revisit games, it's a shame that we'll probably never see that one in it's full glory.

I've joined several channels because of YouTube shorts. Any thought to doing shorts featuring some of the better gags from a prior week's episode?

Phil Miller

I'm curious re your refusal to watch A Clockwork Orange out of respect for Kubrick's wish to have it banned in the UK. How is it right that one individual can unilaterally close down a film (which had received a BBFC certification uncut), and deny everyone else involved in it the opportunity to have their work appreciated, especially if like Malcolm McDowell and Wendy Carlos they have turned in what is arguably their career best? If the UK press decided to kick up a moral panic over John Carpenter's The Thing to the point where he asked for it to be banned in the UK, would you comply with his wishes and burn your copy of it?
