That's my one major complaint with Patreon. People vote for things that already have millions of statues or the new "flavor of the week", and the lesser known stuff never gets made 😒

It really puzzles me why people keep suggesting and voting Link when around the web is full of models of him, from like EVERY game. It's really frustrating. Just go buy those and vote for something that has never been done before.

Yeah, I feel that so much. Been trying to get Ichigo from Bleach on the voting board, since there really aren't many good ones of him, and none of Hallow Ichigo (was thinking changeable head/pose if rigging was an option)

It's really frustrating. Every Patreon that gets remotely popular just ends up all doing the exact same thing when everything is decided by popular vote. Another cyberpunk edge runners sculpt, another link, another cloud strife, etc. I've been unsubbing from several that i otherwise really like just because, how many times could i possibly want to paint Rebecca or baby Yoda or whatever. I think most of the subs aren't actually printing and painting models maybe? I dunno.

I tend to suggest or vote for character that doesn't have a 3d model or at least not many made. For the Regular full size I suggested Tengen Toppa Guren Lagan that has no model out there (at least not a decent one). It got 58 votes on Discord yet it got beaten by 4 Avatar characters and Legolas...

Didn't you noticed that's the point OP is making. The game is gonna get released soon so it wold make sense if Link is chosen after the game is released to have more art/model references.

This might be a harsh solution, but I would be so down with the discord mods putting a moratorium on characters that already have highly detailed, quality models by others. I believe this will help NomNom in the long run too since fewer people are likely to purchase yet another figure from dozens of existing ones, (once the models go on sale to the public) vs one that has less competition even if the character is less popular overall.
