Min

Prince looked a little haggard when we had our “accidental” bump-in at the vending machine. His hands tapped “sea-salt kettle cooked” and he watched the bag fall before glancing at me.

“My favorite peasant.” He quipped.

I glanced around.

“You capitalist pig!” I retaliated, stepping in beside him and stealing the bag that came out. He let out a little, indignant ‘hey’.

“Prince.” I began, whispering. “I edited your paper, by the way. Talk about a boring conclusion you wrote.”

He leaned his forehead against the glass and began to laugh. “Please, lower your standards.”

“Hey—you tore apart mine! You deserve this.”

He turned, drinking in my expression. “You came here to steal my chips and trample on my dignity?”

“Yeah, take that.”

“Too bad.” He shot back, grabbing the bag of chips at the speed of sound and jogging off.

“Hey!” I called after him.

He turned back, glancing over at me.

And smiled.
