Her bright red jacket caught my eye. Stepping in next to her, we stood on the little pathway next to the flower boxes. She must have been waiting for her friend.

“Prince!” She cried out. “When did you get here?”

I stared at her for a moment. “Are you wearing lipstick?”

She covered her mouth. “Is… Is it that obvious?”

I absentmindedly mirrored her, covering my own mouth. I then gave her a knowing smirk.

“Prepared to see someone?”

She was patting down her jacket. “Well… Just for… donuts.”

She started blushing a harsh pink. I held in my laugh. “That’s pretty cute.”

“Wa-Wait.” She turned around to look at me again, pointing at her lips. “I didn’t bite the tint away, did I?”

My eyes fell where she was pointing.

She was expecting an answer. Right. Wait, how long have I been staring at her lips?

“Yeah, it’s still there.” I swallowed, looking away. “You really layered it on, didn’t you.”

“What?” She panicked. “Is it too much?”

She began to wipe at her mouth, but I grabbed her wrist before she really rubbed it all off. “It’s fine! It makes you look nice—”

My pause was disastrous. She started blushing furiously. “Yes. I… I like your… eyelash extensions too.”

I coughed, and then covered my face. “Good god.” I muttered to myself. “Was that supposed to be a compliment?”

“I mean—Your natural length…”

“His natural length?” Shino popped in. “Oh my.”

She was very clearly staring at my pants.

“Shino!” Min screeched at the top of her lungs. She began ushering her off. “I’m so sorry, Kade! Don’t listen to her! She makes everything weird!”

“Right, you did say size doesn’t matter, Min.”

Min let out another scream of embarrassment.
