I did ittttt, I've had this idea for these pups and not had the chance to draw it for the last 2 years. Finally took the time to before Anthrocon next month, the original is going in the art show there! This is 99% watercolor and a bit bigger than what I usually work at, 10x14".

Also taking suggestions for a slightly better/more clever title! :P

Cute! I can't think of an exact alternate title, but something related to pausing/(pawsing) the game would make for a good, albeit cheesy, pun

Depends how silly/cheesy/evocative you want to be with the title. Naming things (songs/games/poems/movies) as a concept is one of my pet topics, which I always happily engage with. If you want the title to just be simple but more catchy sounding, you could just put it in some more memorable-sounding words, maybe add in a bit of alliteration, such as "Playful Puppies' Party" or "Puppy Playtime/Playdate"/"(Precious/Perfect) Puppy Playtime" If you want something more evocative, you can name it for something that sounds like it befits an occurence within the picture, like "Hey, quit cheatin'!" as if giving an assumption for why the specific thing on-screen is happening. I recall you talking about "naming things is hard" when someone jokingly brought up the title "Pelvic Sorcery" you put up, but I personally think that the difficulty of finding the perfect title is something that really adds charm to the experience of naming things, and I always thought that a good title can be meaningful unlike lack of titles or super utilitarian ones.

Awww...so cute! Seeing as they're playing on their "Bone" (totally not a Sony PS, of course), maybe something like "Playin' some xxxxx", where the xxxxx is a spin on an existing game? Astro Bork Dog of War Ragnarök Borkerlands 2 Cyberbork 2077 P.S. Apologies for deleting my other comment; I've no idea why I couldn't edit it properly.

I feel like I've limited myself a little in giving them retro controllers (ps1.. I mean bone1) but I really wanted that sort of nostalgic gamer slumber party vibe. Also would rather keep it open ended for people who may or may not be fans of a certain game, but Borkerlands specifically really made me laugh, thank you. XD

I believe I did get "pelvic sorcery" from a show but I really can't recall which show anymore! I do have just a random notes page on my phone with just random title ideas or ideas for pieces written down - but I def create way more work than I have the mental bandwidth of clever names for haha. I'll have to think more on alliteration or the "hey, quit cheatin'", I kinda like that. Thank you!

shinigamigirl

I really love pawsing, that's adorable lol! I think it doesn't -quite- fit with what's going on in the pic but I feel like maybe I should use that for something else eventually, thank you!

shinigamigirl

Aha someone mentioned where pelvic sorcery was from! It was from one of the guardians of the galaxy movies!

VantaBlackDobie

You absolutely captured the nostagic slumber/gamer party vibe perfectly (and I'm glad I could give you a laugh, as well!) :D
