Yes, some very interesting decisions being made on S4, basically because they're effectively fitting in two seasons of arcs into one. The Tigh/Six story is just WTF and the pure Cylon pregnancy could have been handled in a way that wouldn't make me lose my lunch at the thought of Old One Eye on the job. Nice to see Romo again putting the world to rights once more, but yeah, any pretence that there's a democracy is loooooong gone. At least Daddy Adama is holding himself accountable (leaving Tigh in charge though...), I just hope that Cavill doesn't find out that ol' Blue eyes is just kicking his heels in deep space ....

On the first watch this was a bit of a frustrating episode, being this close to the finale. Things seemed to be standing in place, a wasted episode, though with welcome favourite guess stars returning and a rare chance to show the civilian perspective. At least now we don't have to worry about Lee not having anything much to do. And I never liked them doing-away with Lance the cat. There wasn't much time to demonstrate Romos emotional collapse, and we didn't know much else about Romo, but I'd have preferred something else.

I appreciate your efforts to avoid spoilers. But it would still be kind of cosmically funny if you had the end of BSG randomly spoiled at some restaurant LOL

OMG! Kat almost found out Santa Claus and Pee-Wee Herman team up to save humanity in the final episode. WHEW that was close!!!

I always like when they cut to a civilian perspective. As hard as things are for our main cast civilian life aboard the fleet SUCKS. Cramped conditions, little food, zero ability to fight back against constant threats. The fact Romo's *entire payment* for the Baltar trial was a small cabin with a tiny porthole shows how bad things are for most people. I also like the subtle telegraphs that the cat isn't real. Right from the beginning it disappears from next to Romo when we cut away from his perspective. Several times it's shot with a slightly blurry filter. Lee comments on the always-empty food bowl and asks where Lance is when Romo sees him in plain sight. And finally Romo picks up the cat carrier and says "come on" when we saw him talking to Lance outside the carrier a split second before.
