Man, this episode stuck with me for a LONG time. I always remembered Faye looking at a video of her young self, but you see her and she has no recognition of that girl. It's amazing, this idea that they actually found some record (from over 100 years ago?) specifically of her and it shows her snippets of who she was, candidly, but it doesn't help her figure herself out now. She's more a product of what's happened to her since she woke up and the "man with the thin eyebrows" that took advantage of her and made her extremely cynical. Since she doesn't say anything about it, it's up to us to guess what she's thinking about the girl she sees on the tape. How different that girl is from the person she is. Very odd situation...and sad.

I'd wager to say most of us don't have amnesia, but it's so relatable - the idea of not recognizing the person you used to be and wondering how you ended up who/where you are now.

Intersting, your thought that someone outside the group sent the tape. I always presumed young Faye sent to herself in the future (10 years ahead, from what she said), setting up and paying for some sort of delayed delivery. But then she went into stasis for 50 years, so that probably got held onto till she woke up. And they sent it when she did, but she went on the run, so it's just been forwarded after her until it reached her. That's my theory anyway.

this would explain the tape, but I doubt she would have sent herself a brand new beta player. speaking of the player, am I the only one who hope they gave it to that poor collector to replace the one they destroy?
