Well Im glad the Pals are enjoying this.

Hell3Quin

They should have called Sarah Jane, she'd have helped them with Mr Smith!

Travis Boyle

Enjoyed this 2 parter. I liked Neelix and Kes getting absorbed into soap operas. Reaction was really fun to have people from the area talking about it. I was the same way with the film It. It was filmed partly in my town. Not sure what that says about my town though. Lol

Dan Williams

This episode changes the timeline from the Eugenics Wars and Khan... It should have been at its height there in 1996. Braxton and Starling prevented Khan...

Dan Williams

The only thing I don't like about these episodes is that they scan the computer monitors.....lol 😂 Those weren't the all-in-one Macs. My most rewatched two-parter in Trek. 😊

Travis Boyle

I thought Starling had the Botany Bay in his office somewhere

Laura Thornley

Yeah, Star Trek does this regularly due to time catching up with it. That's the problem with setting things only 30-40 years in the future (Deus Ex: Human Revolution is another prime example - we're about to go into 2027, the year the game is set). Only real way to explain it all away is 'alternative timelines' or 'the illuminati is hiding the truth'.

Troy Convers

I think we're still on course for Sanctuary Cities and WWIII....

Ben Chan

My favorite 90's things this episode: Chakotay's Caeser cut (lookin' very Clooney there) and Silverman's "What-ever!"

Laura Thornley

I like how the show makers learned to not call it 'part one' so the to be continued was actually a surprise.

JD Robertson

I bet the engineers who had to design and install the “our molecular structure is coming apart” sensors would be happy to know that they actually got used. A Vulcan character having to cover their ears with an article of clothing is a Star Trek time travel staple going all the way back to TOS.

Robert Carson

This was Silverman's 3td or 4th acting role and besides SNL probably her biggest. She stands out and I remember seeing it when it aired and thought she was going to go far.

David Brown

It's not that unusual of a placement for an in-season 2-parter. TNG S5 Eps 7 & 8: "Unification, Parts I & II", TNG S6 Eps 10 & 11: "Chain of Command, Parts I & II" ("THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS!!") TNG S7 Eps 4 & 5: "Gambit, Parts I & II".

... nah, it's just retconning. They stated in the episode that this little time jaunt created the microcomputer revolution. According to that, it would have always had to happen. You could try to split hairs with it but ... pretty silly, you just have to go with it.

Locoturbo

Walking in LA? Nobody walks in LA! As locals, would like to hear about LA changes you notice between 1996 and today!

That VW Type 2 minibus is the actual one from BTTF.

Neelix & Kes doing an in-episode reaction!

AKA 'The Murray Hat' in SG1.

As a person that lived in Wapping in London , I get similar vibes about the London episode in Friends, although the Church really WAS a ruin and they literally walk around the corner to see it!

Jonas

I noticed that, too! I just figured that at that range, the tricorder doesn't care. It could do it from anywhere in that room, but Tom just thrusts it at whatever he sees. The human is the weak link once again.

Neil McRae

Years after the episode aired, Sarah Silverman said in an interview somewhere that Robbie had to stand on an apple box to appear taller. Robbie found this claim rather odd, since, like most of the men in the cast, he;s over 6 feet tall. (Kate Mulgrew often had to wear rather high heels because it was the only way to fit her in the shot with her castmates.

Neil McRae

I think the YouTuber Steve Shives had the best solution to this, which was to simply accept that Star Trek's timeline is different than our own.
