I would have been around 25 in 1996. 😖

Mark Chrisco

Just to let you know, Rain came very close to joining the Voyager on it's way home, but, Jeri Taylor decided on a different path.

Laura Thornley

I was 11 when this episode came out.

Christopher Lamont Harris

Well ladies, I was 33 when I saw this in 96 and I'm happy that you got your wish that Tom and rain did KISS and I'm also happy about your reactions about the doctor being able to move around thanks to a 29th century mobile emitter, good or bad, keep on enjoying Star Trek Voyager

Troy Convers

A two parter that would have worked great as a standalone film.

Ben Chan

I totally forgot this is how the Doctor got that mobile holo-emitter thingie -- weird to think he owes it to such a jagg-off. Would it be some kind of "time crime" that he has it? And when those preppers walked down to Chatokay and Belanna tied up there, I thought, "What the unholy Pulp Fiction is going on here?" It was the 90's ...

Paul McBryde

i was 10 or 11 when this came out, which makes me (i think) the same age as kate mulgrew last season

Robert Carson

27 about to be 28 and even then Sarah Silverman should have joined the cast.

Locoturbo

That would have been quite interesting!

Locoturbo

Picardo was noted as being wary of The Doctor gaining the mobile emitter. Guess we'll see how it plays out!

David Brown

I had just recently turned 16 a few weeks earlier. Some episodes were aired out of order. The Doctor's "factory reset" happened in the episode produced right before this 2-parter. The 3 episodes released in between actually take place before the "reset".

Dan Williams

I was 13½, in 7th grade when this aired. This was a few months before I moved into the basement and got my own 13" tv with antenna. The reruns were my lifesaver........

Siva

I was 15. Fun episodes! Hope you guys will check out Star Trek IV, it is similar to this (but better IMO)

Anthony MacEwan

I was 14, I love this 2 parter. It was great experiencing the 30th anniversary of Trek that year. I even went to my first convention that and met William Shatner.

Hell3Quin

Whats that Badgy, Kirks crew of the Enterprise travelled to 1960's earth and back via utilising the suns gravity for a time catapult and then again to deposit a mating pair of whales to San Fancisco Bay in a Klingon Bird Of Prey in Star Trek IV? This second event was done in full view of the planet with no way to hide or classify it and in fact laid out their plan over open comms to everyone involved at the start of the movie? Well dang!

Robert Ulus

I realize you wouldn't want to do this for a show, and presumably in-narrative they aren't going to examine the emitter (much) to avoid polluting the timeline, but I'd be really curious how much that mobile emitter could do. If the Doctor was holding a holographic ball and tossed it in the air, would it stop working because it is no longer touching him? Could he generate a holographic tricorder in his hand as long he never sets it down? On the far end of the scale, could you generate an entire holographic voyager around the doctor with working phasers?
