I'm with you on the weirdness of calling a type of cookie a "digestive". If you never saw one and weren't told it was a cookie/biscuit/whatever, you'd think it was a stool loosener or something. 😂

seeing your reaction to the digestives was wonderful, they're my favourite biscuits. i particularly love eating them (slightly broken up) in milk, much better than cereal imo

They were originally developed to do what Pepto-bismol does. It was a wild time for food/medical experiments and outlandish claims. I like dunking the plain ones, the chocolate ones are too good for dunking imo.
