Ive been looking forward to the Peridot episodes. Glad you are enjoying/re-enjoying them

I felt bad that they destroyed Peridot’s limb enhancers. I see them as equivalent to accommodations. Yes, because they included weapons, they had no choice but to take them away when they captured her, but they didn’t have to just carelessly dump them. Also, had Steven not freed Peridot, would the Crystal Gems have ever let her out? Even if gems are unaware of the passage of time while bubbled, it seems cruel to just indefinitely put someone in suspended animation.

I JUST noticed, Sadie has a scar still, from the island getaway episode! That is such a cool detail. And I missed it like all the other times I watched this!

They bubble all their problems and wait for a solution to present itself. Really they're doing quite bad without Rose Quarts and putting a lot of hopes on Steven figuring everything out when he gets older, but then, in the geological timescales gems are used to, waiting ten or thirty or fifty or five hundred years to explore that possibility is not a significant investment even if it doesn't work out. In the worst case they'd probably eventually accept that Rose isn't coming back and start figuring things out for themselves, including that prisoners have to be rehabilitated sometime.
