As I’m sure you all saw… But in case you didn’t… Battlestar Galactica won the poll as our next big Sci-Fi addition to the channel!

Seeing as how this is a show that neither Paula nor I have seen, we’re looking for your help to name the new show! If you’d like, in the comments below, each of you give ONE idea for what the new name of the show could be, “Gallifrey Gals Get… ?”

I’ll pin this post and leave it up over the weekend for those who want to be involved and think of an idea! On July 4th we will sift through all of the suggestions and pick between 4-6 of them and then create a poll for everyone to vote on! If you notice that someone else had the same idea as you… Don’t fret! That’s actually a good thing that might help your title get chosen!

If you're a part of $1 tier, thank you for your support, every little bit helps! We would love to have you be a part of this as well. So get those ideas rolling!

We’re so excited to add a whole new show to the roster and we can’t wait to see all of your ideas!

Cheers!

Kat and Paula

Gallifrey Gals get Galactic?

Data Cable

Gallifrey Gals get Toasted (it'll make sense once you start watching)

Kane Is Able

Gallifrey Girls Get Frakked! Has always had my vote. It's the heavily used curse word they came up with on BSG, so they could curse on cable TV. It does have the same definitions of its IRL similar sounding counterpart, so Gallifrey Girls Get Frakked! could have a dirty meaning. I still like it. It has many many meanings.

Kharak

get Frakked!

Bret Hart

I've never seen this iteration of BSG, so I'm excited. Gallifrey Gals Get Frakked!

Joshua Langweil

Yes, Get Frakked is the only correct answer. 😃

Alexander Caldwell

It's vulgar...it's stupid...it's potentially offensive...but damn it, it's just so frakking relevant given the context of the show! And besides, we all know the Gals aren't afraid to cast a well-timed expletive. I, as well, vote for "Gallifrey Gals Get Frakked"!

Carrie Schwent

Gallifrey Girls Get Frakked! SO SAY WE ALL!!

Graham Mills

This if you decide to watch the 1978-1979 series. "Frakked" if it's 2004-2009 reboot.

Diego Rodríguez

I liked Gallifrey Gals get Toasted that Ken proposed

Ben Chan

There was no doubt "get frakked" would make an appearance, so I will alter the verbiage a bit and propose: "... Get Frakkin'!" (is it better that they're the subject rather than the object?)

mark saunders

Yeah i misspelled it lol Frakked is what i meant! Lol

LW Dance

Definitely this one. Not a swear, makes sense in context.

Artemis Zeidman

I’ve never been the newb when watching any of your reactions. This’ll be a new experience.

Brad Barter

Well if with BSG we're all gonna Get Frakked then by the time we get to Farscape we'll all be Frelled! 😆 For show title: "By the Lords of Kobol!"

K1productions

"Get Frakked" seems to be popular, but I wanna put a couple other options out there. Like "Gallifrey Gals on Dradis" (DRADIS being BSG's form of radar) or "Battlestar Gallifrey Gals" (for which I can do fun things with the patch, design-wise)

Brad Barter

Well just like Paula and Kat you're in for one Hell of a ride! Enjoy

Aleph Sharp

Gallifrey Gals Get Galactic or Gallifrey Gals Get Frakked

Aleph Sharp

alternately, yall could Rebrand to Galactic Gals, and then go with Get Frakked for this one

Will Rosecrans

"Gallifrey Gals Get In Your Head," "Gallifrey Gals Have a Plan," or "Gallifrey Gals Dream of Earth" is my one suggestion. I'm uncomfortable asking people I don't know very well in real life to post "get frakked" videos. I get that it's just a fictional word in a nonsense context but it just doesn't sound right, sorry.

Mark Ten

What does the group think of "Your Gallifrey Gals, (singing) Looking for Earth in all the wrong places..."

Eyes... In The Dark

While I personally love "Gallifrey Gals Get Frakked", "Gallifrey Gals Get Galactic" is both less vulgar sounding, and is a wonderful use of alliteration - though it's less amusing. Lol

Hugo Fitzpatrick

"... Spool up"/ "...get the jump"/ "bring the cat in"/ "so say we all with the galifrey gals" / "have a plan" / "get toastin'" / "mark one eyeball"/ "roll a hard six" / "fragg some toasters."

Ben Chan

I feel some people ... in their enthusiasm... maybe didn't notice they said to give one suggestion each?

Terrell Kirkman

Sign off catch phrase for BSG. Check out your Galifrey Gals where...: We hear nuthin but the rain. This has all happened before and it will happen again. Everything's Fracked. So say we all.

Jason Nesbit

Gallifrey Gals "Roll The Hard Six"!

StuCee

“Gallifrey Gals Get Past The Red Line" (or maybe "Galactica Gals: Past The Red Line" if you don't mind losing the "Get...")

mark saunders

You're in for a treat. One of the best Sci Fi shows ever made!

Kuromizu

I know Get Frakked is the obvious choice, but contextually it's incredibly inappropriate lol. So I would like to put forth Gallifrey Gals Get Boxed!

KylarStern1995

If we are sticking with the "get" prefix then fracked or galactic could work. get to vipers. Get to alert status one. If not then phrases such as "so say we all" or "for the final five" or "by your command" for a classic series reference. "Get the frackin toasters" could also work.

Kuromizu

Battlestar Gallifreya

David Brown

When you start the show, be sure to watch the 2003 pilot mini-series BEFORE Season 1 Episode 1 from 2004. And yes, ...."Gallifrey Gals Get Frakked".

Peter Nolan

Gallifrey Gals Have a Plan is one option. Part of the problem with so many of the cool sounding ones is that could take the Gals up to a season or two to find out what their own show title is a ref to! So I guess at least 'Have a Plan' comes up pretty quickly.

Joe Concepts

Like almost everyone, I thought Frakked, too. But yeah, that could be kind of an awkward one to use.

Nicole Mazza

Seconding this -- the series won't make sense without the mini series first!

Funny That

To be honest a lot of the things to "Get..." are sort of spoilery, but getting the cat in or the like is something I have affection for. And there shouldn't be a poll at the end for this. These are the Gals' shows, and they should properly be the ones to name the things they make, not least since they will be doing these reactions for a while and might even have to literally wear it. Did Boaty McBoatface teach us nothing about ourselves. :^.

Antonio

To be slightly different, I'll say "Gallifrey Gals Get Jumpy"

Tmatts

I know it's super obvious and maybe "boring" but I think 'Gallifrey Gals Get Galactic' is just too perfect not to do.

JXTN

Oh damn, I didn't know! That's fantastic, so excited for you guys and us! Was sad about no more Trek, and not continuing into DS9, but seeing as BSG is by the same guy that ran DS9 and wrote for TNG, that's a perfect alterative. As other have said, make sure you watch the 2-episode miniseries before Season 1. As for the title, I know "Galifrey Gals Get Frakked" seems a bit inappropriate, but anyone reading it will know EXACTLY what the show is, so apart from being a good reference and fun to read, it's good...marketing, I guess? Btw, be careful with the comments (both on this post and in general), this is one of those shows you *do not* want to get spoiled on. Lots of suprises. :)

John Welch

Get Frakked is the natural choice but considering the connotation they might avoid it, How about "get chromed"?

Malcolm Wolf

The mini-series will be watched first :-)

Mark Steckel

Gallefrey Gals get Colonial.

LogicSequence

Gallifrey Gals Get Frakked for sure

ALFONSO SMITH III

Gall-actica-frey Gals? Gallifrey Gals Get Chromed

Red Claw

Gallifrey Gals get to the 13th Colony

dhollanda

Since they use the Term "JUMP" vor faster than light travel, how about: Gallifrey Gals gets Jumped". An alternative: Gallifrey Gals gets a plan. Because the Cylons have a plan.

Josef Schiltz

'Go Galactica Gals!' - for the alliteration?

Chris Neumann

Gallifrey Gals Get Toasted. Gallifrey Gals Get Glowy. Gallifrey Gals Get Slight Motion Sickness. Gallifrey Gals Get Green Jackets.

Daniel Deeks

Frakked is the one. That word IS BSG, as Frell is Farscape, redshirt is Star Trek and timey wimey is DW.

The Crazed Spruce

I've never watched the show either, but I know enough about it to know that "Galifrey Gals Get Frakked" is probably the way to go.

R. Chang

While I agree that they should watch the miniseries first, I think that you could start with 33 and get a pretty good idea of what the situation was almost immediately.

Hartleinrolle

"Get Toasted" for sure. So much funnier than "Get Frakked"

Henchman Twenty1

Do they still say "Felgercarb" in this show? It was used in the original and basically meant B.S. If still used, then "Get felgercarbed" could be an option. I was a fan of the original show, as corny as it was at times, but I couldn't get into the remake. Too soap-opera-in-space for me.

Kuromizu

I mean, there's a reason the genre is called space opera

Henchman Twenty1

Well. literally now, yes. But it didn't used to be. I'm from the days back when Sci-Fi was for the geeks, not mainstream, dumbed-down, hey let's mix X with some sci-fi or fantasy so everyone gets it. Especially those who used to make fun of the genre but now it's all hip.

Ben Chan

The BSG reboot was anything but dumbed down. Not like the original show was hard science fiction with their cute robot dog.

Henchman Twenty1

Hey, anyone who can come up with the idea to shove a chimpanzee into a robot dog costume and get it to act has my respect! Okay, "dumbed down" might be the wrong phrase. Homogenized with other genres so a wider audience can relate to and understand it. Expensive to make shows need a bigger audience to be financially viable and that's what doomed BSG[OS].

Kuromizu

Not to get all "ackchyually" on ya but the term space opera has been around since the 1930s. Sounds like you're more into hard science fiction.

David Brown

No, they never used "felgercarb" on this version. Nor the sometimes shortened "felger". The also made the name of the original card game the name of the sport, we never find what the new name of the card game is.

Bruce Bromley

A simple one. "Gallifrey Gals Go Galactic".

Josef Schiltz

Henchman Twenty1: Exactly. That's what happened in 2005 to Doctor Who. I practically switched off for good because of the Tyler family.

Kris Nimitz

cool, after star trek, BSG is on my no.2

KylarStern1995

Get cylonic. Just trying to figure out what is the single most recognisable thing of the franchise and a cylons helmet/head seems to be it. Also the name in the patreon search will be easily recognisable.

Joris Teuwen

Get frakked fits well, though I understand if you don't pick it, since it's the in-universe equivalent of our f-word.

Ian Morris

The galactica girls get frakked
