Completely understand and support your position. Both morally and for the sake of your own future careers it doesn't feel good to be trying to find ways around the strike. Solidarity!

Firefly24601

I dunno, can Paula handle live board game stuff? I have my doubts.... 😉

Chrissonator

Keep up the good fight! I shall take my leave for the time being. :)

Martyn Hill

I understand your position and you have to do what you are comfortable with. Will use the time to browse some of your back content that I haven't had time to see. Hope this doesn't last too long though, would be a shame if this was still going on when the 60th anniversary comes out

Alexander Caldwell

Paula! Kat! (If by chance at least one of you hasn't seen it, and it still qualifies as an indie production) React to "The Room"!!! Get your SPOONS ready!!!!! (Five exclamations; now you know I'm serious!)

Bruce Bromley

Solidarity, ladies. I've read and seen plenty on the strike on Twitter following the actors, writers and BTS people of Trek. Especially SAG LA's VP Michelle Hurd from Picard. She recently nailed the reason for striking. Hope it's not for the long haul. I just dread all the reality shows the suits are going to throw at us. I do have a suggestion. Have you seen the Turkish version of Star Trek? It's from 1974, an hour long and hilarious. Unfortunately it's in Turkish with no subtitles. Although, I think it's easy to get the gist of what's going on. It might be fun to react to. Here is the link to it on YT. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQJcqUZDFPU

Firefly24601

While A24 has two current projects that were OK'd by the union, I wouldn't assume that all their films are equally exempt. Exemptions like that are done on a case-by-case basis, and aren't a blanket approval.

Eric

So what you're saying is a Les Mis 10th anniversary concert reaction is on the table? *starts to hyperventilate

Alexander Caldwell

Does A24 own the rights to the original "The Room"? I thought they just produced "The Disaster Artist"...

Ian Smith

I'm staying right here for you. This (hopefully short, for all concerned) pause gives me the chance to catch up on all those TNG reactions of yours that I've not yet got around to watching :)

Bret Hart

You have my support 100%! I'm definitely down for more snack attack content, and I want to try pickle soda - I know my sister would love it too. Thanks for everything you both do, it's very much appreciated. 😊

David Brown

Public Domain B-movie reaction recommendation: 'Plan 9 From Outer Space'.

Lori Feeney

Here with you guys for the long run!

Diego Rodríguez

I'm not from the States but I'll l be here to support you as long as I can! 🎶 One for all and all for one! Strike! Strike! Strike! Strike! Strike! Strike! 🎶

BrightHeart

I'm curious how British productions fall under the Sag-Aftra stuff. More so things from Channel 4, Dave etc. If they still fall under the narrative stuff, us Brits have a LOT of good panel shows like Taskmaster to fill that gap.

John Welch

You Girls are amazing. Here a couple of people where panicking in the comments section thinking the worst and you go and give patrons MORE bang for their buck! I know it sounds like much but I am proud to be a patron. I am not going anywhere until I see you guys react to every season of Battlestar, Farscape and The Expanse. (See how I slid that last one in there? lol)

Merfhew

I applaud you both for sticking to your morals and looking into alternative content during the strike. Maybe you could try a video series where the two of you attempt to follow instructions or "How To" guides? It could vary from things like cooking, crafting, drawing, embroidery, writing, creating homemade cat toys, learning software, etc. Perhaps the audience could crown a winner each time in the comments section. Embrace your inner creativity! Get a rivalry going. Set a timer to raise the stakes. "Gallifrey Gals Get Guidance" "Gallifrey Gals Get Grounding" "Gallifrey Gals Get a Grasp"

Antonio

Hang in there gals! You have my ongoing support! For content ideas, reacting to music could be cool. Seeing some boardgame content would be cool too. If you haven't seen them and they are ok based on the strike guidelines, maybe reacting to a youtube series based on gaming, like The Gamers or Larps? Also, sorry Kat, but Paula's mashup at the end was hela awesome :)

Chris Lane

I posted already on your youtube video but will repeat it here. I fully support you and the union members and having unique content to react to sounds like fun...I'll keep supporting you here on patreon :)

Lamar Bradford

I definitely understand the reason for striking. I’m just curious if you have talked to a SAG representative to see if you could react to your current shows without breaking the rules. I just want to know their stance on your current situation.

Underwood Forensics

It might be interesting to see you two react to certain fellow content creators (if that wouldn't violate anything) such as Jaiden Animations, Ben Brainard, Brian Moller, etc... Or even reacting to OTHER react videos (that'd count as reality tv adjacent, right?) to U.S. products/content/info such as Diane Jennings and especially Your New Zealand Family. Now, because I work for a school district (part-time teacher's aide and coach as I have a disabled child that I need the part-time hours to be able to take them to appointments) and only get paid for 11 months (screwy contract), I might have to dip out of Patreon for one month next month. This is due to trying to be able to pay for all essentials (as I don't really make enough to really save anything other than my tax rebate, if that, that usually goes to covering the month without pay)... However, I am still in solidarity with the unions and with the two of you. Heck, I hope to be a part of both unions someday... Though at 42, and STILL stuck in FRESNO, that's beginning to seem less likely, lol. If I do have to dip, I'll be back the following month.

MARK F JENKINS

Solidarity! (Wish I had a union to join... non-management non-supervisory office worker/individual contributor.)

Artemis Zeidman

First, love that Kat and Paula are into Salt-N-Pepa. Second, very excited that we’re going to get to see Paula and Kat just chilling together in person sometime in the future. Third, much respect for sticking by your fellow actors and fighting for fair compensation and treatment.

John Welch

I really am excited about the new tier setup! I came for Trek but had been curious about some of the other stuff for a bit. But now I am stoked about watching the full reactions for Rick and Morty, Vox Machina, and The Marvel stuff. I await the new tier system and may just bump up to the next tier for the duration of the strike as a gesture of support and gratitude. Will the new system start next month?

Firefly24601

I (obviously) second this motion!

Julia Contreras

Solidarity to all striking workers. Gonna stick around~

DarkAshtar

I believe in unions in general, so you gals have my support. I'm sorry I recently downgraded my support as BattleStar Gallactica as ruined for me by Robot Chicken. Also, I don't wanna pay for classic Dr. Who I don't watch I'll rejoin Who when it starts back up Love ya gals,

Chris Fields

I'm with you until the wheels fall off.

Jay S

Will continue to support you guys through this, really enjoy your content. If you do a snack reaction during this time and like licorice, I would love to see you try Aussie licorice like Darrell Lea and/or Wiley Wallaby, lots of flavors. But if not that, I’d enjoy reactions to any other non-dairy candy :)

LatePaul

I've been a patreon of yours since you started and I'm certainly not ditching you now. It must be a scary time but I'm proud of you for sticking up for what's right. Solidarity!

Stuart Reed

I absolutely think you've made the right move. Before watching, I was quite concerned about what might be in this announcement, but it's actually left me really enthused for the variety of things that may be coming our way. 100% solidarity!

Paul Flux

You have my support

Mark Ten

Best of luck, Im here for whatever you are able to share. Regards! Pickle Soda? PICKLE SODA? Absolutely not. There are some things just too horrible to contemplate.

Mike

I'll be sticking with you! As a former background actor and amateur singer I understand the struggle to do what you love and still make enough money to pay the bills. I wish you all the best and you have my support!

Tmatts

Definitely missing the Steven Universe content as your guys' Steven Universe reactions are by far the best I've ever seen, but I totally understand!

Alisa Loudner

I'm not going anywhere. I think, as someone else said, maybe reacting to music? Also, you could play games. I like the idea of reacting to filmed Broadway shows too.

Ben Chan

I said this on the other post, but I encourage people to consider diving into older content during this period as a way to maintain support and still get a regular dose of GG content. I'm also looking forward to whatever new content you guys come up with! I'll be with you 'til the end of the line!

Stephen Kronfeld

Would you consider reacting to content from youtube? Some of my fav channels, besides GG, are Geography Now, Oversimplified History, Bill Wurtz, and Alternate History Hub. Please check them out and consider doing reactions to their content.

KylarStern1995

Fully support unionised workforces and will stick around for the foreseeable. Interested to see what new types of content may come up. Since video games are apparently exempt from this I would like to put forward some suggestions of playthrough but obviously some would be bigger projects than others. Also only really interested in blind playthroughs ,with attention paid to in game lore as a personal preference. SKYRIM. MASS EFFECT. DRAGON AGE. I will leave it there unless there is any traction gained for this idea.

Sam McCoy

Certainly not going to stop supporting your content. Do what you have to do.

tal goren

maybe you could react to books? like each of you would choose a book she liked, and narrate it to the other one. or if this is too complicated, just do a book club.

Anomalocaris

Workers of the Alpha Quadrant unite!

John

Good suggestion! I'd also add Life is Strange and The Last of Us to that list.

Josef Schiltz

Every great decision creates ripples, like a huge boulder dropped in a lake. The ripples merge, rebound off the banks in unforeseeable ways. The heavier the decision, the larger the waves, the more uncertain the consequences . . . Oh sugar! Ace! Somewhere the tea's getting cold!

KylarStern1995

Big Fan of that idea. I would like to propose the Discworld series by terry pratchett. Starting with either the witches arc or the watch arc. So in book titles terms either Wryd sisters or guards guards

Jonathan

There's one reaction series you can continue right now, with a couple thousand hours of content to react to. Galifrey Gals Get Critical 😁 (or various other actual play content - maybe even ones you've done). Oh, and when it comes out, Stray Gods would be a fun game to react to.

Chrono Gamer

I will stay subscribed throughout the strike. I have enjoyed a lot of your content of the years and I am happy to continue supporting you as you support the justified strike.

Film Vagabond

I have to spotlight THE GAY DECEIVERS (1969) It's campy, it's iconic, and you'll love it. I thought I’d recommend some anime films I loved that I think you’re gonna love too - Tokyo Godfathers, Ponyo, Summer Wars, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie, A Silent Voice, Castle of Cagliostro. It would be cool to react to independent animation: Olan Rogers the creator of Final Space made several animated short films on his YouTube channel before getting acquired [THE LION'S BLAZE + ROB AND DETECTIVE BOY!] or Starship Goldfish 3 fully animated 22-minute episodes of a British comedy/sci-fi comedy that I’ve been waiting a decade to see receive a full series. The Greatest indie animated series of all time is People Watching - a masterpiece of social commentary written, directed & illustrated by Winston Rowntree which follows a diverse group of people in their 30s through their everyday lives [Produced by Cracked] My favourite super short anime are Space Patrol Luluco [13 episodes at around 8 minutes each] & FLCL [Six 22-minute episodes] I also highly recommend both if you’d like a short Bombastic weird action sci-fi comedy coming-of-age stories. For both, I recommend the dub for the quality, effort & love put into voice acting these zany scripts. The Last Unicorn (1982) is my last recommendation because it's a classic

Rime Pendragon

I don't understand... Does Steven Universe fall under struck content ? Isn't it an animated show ? Isn't that a separate union ?
