Development Diary #10: SakuraMangas and Mangago Plugins, UI fixes and Download History (Patreon)
Content
Hi everyone! 👋
Here is what's new in the latest updates for the alpha version:
What’s New
New Plugins: Added support for sakuramangas (for our Portuguese/Brazilian users) and mangago.
Download History: You can now check your download history directly from the View menu. No more digging through logs or accessing the database manually to see what you've recently grabbed.
Library History: Added a new button in Library mode to view the history of recently detected chapters, making it much easier to track which manga updates have been added to your database.
Under the Hood & UI
Server Stability: Squashed a couple of persistent bugs in the Python server to ensure a smoother experience.
UI Polish: Finally fixed the annoying issue where the UI failed to restore the position of the splitter between the chapter list and the download queue in the main window.
Settings Overhaul: I’ve officially started a full restyling of the Settings window to make configuration cleaner and more intuitive.
Parallel Downloads: Development has begun on parallel page downloading. While this is currently in the early stages, I’m planning for this to be an exclusive feature for my Patreon supporters once it reaches a stable state.
Note: Please keep in mind that these UI fixes and improvements will eventually be rolled out to the public version of JAM as well. However, it will take a bit more time to deploy those changes there, as it requires updating the entire program framework there.
As always, I want to extend a massive thank you to all of you. None of these updates would be possible without your continued trust and generosity. Your support is the fuel that keeps this project moving forward, and I am incredibly grateful to have such an amazing community behind me. You guys are the best!
Keep the feedback coming, and stay tuned for more updates soon.
