A quickish run-through of the Prophet 600 with the GliGli upgrade. ... I got this to compare to Behringer's Pro 800 - if it ever comes out. If it does lets hope it improves on the sluggish bits on this...

... but let's also hope it keeps the same sound! Its really growing on me, :)

Prophet 600 // SOUNDS GREAT but why is it underrated and much maligned?

#prophet600 #sequential #pro800 Support the channel: https://patreon.com/starskycarr Before the release of the Behringer Pro-800 I thought I'd take a look at the original vintage version from 1982. The Prophet 600 gets a really bad press (in some cases it's deserved ed), but the tones are great, and if you can put up with dodgy envelopes and a laggy processor... no-one will notice in a final track :) ... and no I've no idea when the Behringer version is on its way.. before you ask! :) If you're looking at buying a new synth try this link for Perfect Circuit - I might get a bung ;) https://www.pjtra.com/t/SENKTExLTUtDSEpJR0ZGQ0hJTUZHTA Other places you’ll find me: ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/starskycarr ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/starskycarr ► Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/starskycarr ► Bandcamp https://starskycarr.bandcamp.com/releases ►ClubbingTV From the Studio: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYIYEC4M53KQs4FeYpCY51sHxoK2l2Z0O 0:00 Intro 2:39 GliGli or not? 8:06 Raw Tones 13:02 Filter 16:44 Poly Mod 17:39 Final Thoughts 18:38 Demo Sounds #1 22:37 demo Sounds #2
