I've finally got some paid work!! Hurray!!!

I'm recording a video of an Alexis digital piano for Clubbing TV. .. and yes they'll pay me. Makes a nice change as sometimes I can feel a bit like a free marketing channel for things I've purchased.  It's all part of the mix I suppose, but at times it can feel a bit like a gigging band doing free stuff for 'exposure'.

I thought I'd record something in the lounge - to make it look nice and all that - and now I remember why I don't use the lounge to record!

It all started off so well, with things looking nice and aspirational :). then the sun came out and I looked like a silhouetted vampire, so the lights had to come out, then the curtains had to close etc... so in the end I can hardly walk across the room without tripping up.

Hopefully it won't look too bad and I'll get some cash, but that was much more difficult than I'd hoped.  Definitely earned the money (if I get it!).

And its a decent piano for the kids to learn on - the action is great and it's really neat and modern looking - not too may knobs so my wife will allow it in the house!

Looks like someone in your house likes throw pillows as much as someone in my house...

Congrats. As a music producer living from music production for the last 25 +years, i must say that I totally understand your hype. Scoring any type of projects like this is hard nowdays due to the enormously huge offer. I work in the video game industry, and I can tell you so many people in the industry are happy to pay 10x less for a crappy result than to fork out money they usually would for, say, a good graphics design outsourcer. My point being that competition is fierce, and since I worked recording and producing live bands, then switched to film, commecial and video game music and sound design, I found it progresivelly harder and harder to book a client. So, the fact they chose you to do this speaks about your work as an artist, producer and a professional.
