Harlot's Path Approval (Patreon)
Content
After taking 9 submissions and 2 months of work, the Harlot's Path store page was approved by Steam. So, next I had to submit the actual game for approval too. Failed: cannot find sex events for testing.... Oh, good another 2 months of crap... So, I make a teleporter for the Steam testers to find all the sex events and resubmit. Game approved! What? Already? Awesome! You can view the game on Steam searching 2865060 or Harlots Path.
Full of optimism, I spend the next 4 days trying to get Steam Achievements working with RPGMaker... Failed multiple times. OK, nevermind then. The game has in-game medals anyways.
Another thing I've been working on is "sensitivity" options? A few people have contacted me about my game not being PC, or woke, or libtard, or whatever it's called nowadays. Then others complained that the game was too much PC, or woke, or libtard, or whatever it's called nowadays...
Welp, I can't change the game to please everyone, so I figured I'd just add settings so people can turn off what they don't like. I separated out some categories and levels, then tried to word it in the target audience's "thinking pattern". I believe it turned out well. (I may be being a bit facetious in the titles, but it's better than writing "grow a pair, ya whiner!" in the publicly released game...
Some aren't even in the game yet, like the animals, just included for future updates. The hardest two to switch off were Incest and Transgender. Incest required rewriting Lamer and Anno's dialogues. I cannot remove those sex events since they are storyline, so I changed Lamer to a friend and removed mention of Anno being Harlot's father. The Transgender and Gay are much harder and not coded yet. Abby is a main character so the spa scene needs to happen for her to join... but I likely can bypass that sex-event and have her join a different way... All the other gay/futa stuff can be skipped, I just need to find and test it, which takes time. Anyways, I actually like the challenge of fitting it all together. Problem-solving coding is actually the most satisfying for me, when it all works in the end.
Oh yeah, i'm also writing up the actual ending for Harlot. I had planned it years ago, but got distracted by all the great Patron requests! So, Harlot will be able to buy the brothel from Anno, and will have a dream-chat with her mother too. Both are minor events, but help finish her story. I'm also fixing some story logic errors and adding some more back-story to others in the game as well.
As a result, I didn't get anything new done on VDS... So, I'd better spend next week working on Penny's Obedience coding and testing, so there's something to play for Patrons on July 1st!
