1/ The whole "we got our tech from aliens and now we're stagnating" concept reminds me of the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Future's End" where it gets revealed (spoilers) that something similar happened in the past but with a time travel mishap. 2/ Tucker's statement is frustrating to me personally - he's saying people are too focused on the trans youth, despite the fact he was one of the biggest voices in speaking out against them on his previous show! He's a massive hypocrite and should be condemned. Being accidentally almost correct once in a while (about not being so focused on trans issues, though I suspect he didn't mean it in the "leave them alone" sense, knowing him) means nothing. He's a con artist and hatemonger who puts people in danger for profit.

I know Jesse is the skeptical one (and I love the dude ), but I feel like he really is pig headed in his refusal to even consider the subject and how eager he is to write it all off as bullshit. He doesn't really understand the context behind grusch or how he came to be in the situation he's in now, and he isn't considering the implications of what's being said, regardless of whether or not we see immediate proof. He's treating this more like hype for a video game that might never come out than he is like a potentially massive conspiracy like mk ultra being uncovered.
