I personally would say NOT to watch the OP for the time being. There's definately a 5-6 sec section that could be spoilery; but I think you will the art style they do for the OP itself. If you just want to hear the OP song, its "Renacer Serenade by Momoiro Clover Z". But the ED is completely ok to watch, which you will love as well. It's Shuna in modern clothes, doing everyday things. The ED song is "Miracle Soup by MindaRyn". The same singer who did S2P2 OP of slime (Walpurgus OP).

I kind of think it's good how they describe Rimuru's planning of the arena. Everybody does the, for example, "I'm gonna build an arena, it'll be fun and make us a lot of money, so get it done." kinds of arcs. At times we need to see the kind of thought Rimuru brings to the city's development. Plenty is still omitted! The point isn't just that the city is developing, it's the kind of long-term vision Rimuru shows, how he gets others enthusiastically roped into that vision, and all the details he considers to accomplish what are basically selfish goals. It highlights once again how utterly unusual Rimuru is, and that is by no means lost on observers.

True, this is a great point to note. Even the Crusaders on their way to Tempest are blown away by the detail and care that Rimuru puts into developing his country! They say he is much better than most human nobility even as a Demon Lord. His vision, goals, and personality as a ruler is what attracts other important people to him and it is the reason he has so much talent in such a new nation. He is the reason that his nation building happens so easily!
