Hey Fans,

I'm mostly over Covid now, with just the lingering feeling of being run down from the whole ordeal. So I'm back to work!

Whenever someone decides to cancel their subscription to my Patreon, they're asked to do an exit survey. One of the main complaints is that I'm not active enough. I wanted to ask everyone if there is something I could do to be more active with you all. Are there other Patreons you're subscribed to that do something you like that I'm not doing? If you have any suggestions, please write a comment below.

I assumed being active was a bad thing because the more active I am here, the less I'm actively working on my novel. Which is, I assume, why everyone is here. And I'm always active on Discord so people can come chat with me anytime.

But if there's more I can do to make it feel like supporting me is worth it to you, I'm all ears. Please let me know. After I've collected some information from everyone, I may do a Poll to see which idea people like the most.

Thanks for your time, and your support!

I think people just click anything when they are canceling and don’t give it much thought. You are more active then most creators on here.

Kameohawk

I'm not really sure how more you could be active so that seems a bit odd. You post updates, you mention releases.... That's kind of what you want

Contemno

Honestly you're doing a great job of telling what's up and where it's going with the project. One of the only devs I'm supporting doing more is Come home. She posts at least twice a week. And it's nice, but in no way required. Keep doing what you are doing and it's good.

Honestly you're the most active of all the VNs I sub to so I certainly wouldn't worry on that front, I'm very happy 😊

madmanskingdom72

I think you've been pretty active and plus you only JUST started doing this full time. Some people can be impatient sometimes. Just keep doing what your doing cause you're doing great!

Mangetsu

HAHAHAHAHA... What a joke. I know most of these AVNs are passion projects, and some of the best ones, including yours, are done by very small teams or even 1 person. That takes TIME. I will say, I understand it's hard to go through such engaging stories, hit an end of it, and having to wait sucks. There's no way around it. But taking it out on the creator instead of stepping back, waiting, and letting the creative juices flow is just counter productive. Just a thought, from one of the Q&A mega posts that DrPinkCake did a while back, he put into perspective exactly how long the process took for a single render, to the longest animation, and why. Perhaps that might put into perspective why you physically CANNOT pump out updates on a faster cadence? Course that might be counterproductive as well cuz it takes you away from dev 🤣

A few months ago I was supporting 13 Devs, but gas prices forced me to drop all but 5. (I drive for a living, and the company doesn't reimburse.) Anyways, of the 13, you were probably the 4th most active. Now, I think you're tied for 2nd. Hell, there was one dev I dropped that would often post multiple times a day, & that could get kind of annoying. All I really need is the weekly updates, and the occasional custom renders.

RexGames

I think the ones that quit because of you not making small or rushed releases every month are guys that want a quick wank and dont care about the story. Since you make such a good story, great renders and all in all a very HQ game, should you really care what those guys think? Of course you loose some of the money to it, but you keep the patreons that actually care about the story. If you would release small/rushed releases every month and not care about the quality as much, you would lose at least me as a patreon, and probably quite a few others as well. All in all, you can`t keep everyone happy either way, so do what makes you happy :) Keep up the good work! Love your games!

Braumacher

Don't change a thing for me. You're doing fine.

barbaric gamer

i agree with the rest maybe to supplement some of the loss would to be to slightly raise the price

magikumquat

I think you're communications are on point. You are certainly one of the most frank & transparent creators I support and I'm happy with your message frequency. I don't think there problem is with you specifically. As consumer prices continue to rise, it gets harder to support a large number of creators. This is especially true since I've noticed many VN releases being pushed back from monthly to bi-monthly and even quarterly over the past few years. While quality trumps quantity, since these are subscription models, it raises the price of each release as well. You're likely feeling the frustration of subscribers who would prefer shorter episodes released more frequently or an alternative to the subscription model.

magikumquat

PS: Glad you're feeling better! I know how much covid sucks. On a separate note, have you thought about starting an account on subscribestar . adult? Might extend your reach a little bit, I support a few projects there and generally prefer it to Patreon.

DMG Entertainment

I see it go both ways, you not active enough, your post to much. Seriously some people just whine and don't understand that devs get sick or need to take time off just like anyone else. I know some devs that still have day jobs along with making a game. You can't please those types regardless. If you posted more they will expect faster game releases. I've seen devs not say a word for months at a time. So just do what you do and go on. Hell, I run out of things to post.

Mad Maxx

Gotta wonder if the people that left, chose that option because none of the other options really applied, or they simply didn't want to say 'I can't afford it' because then they think they look lame. One of the other AVN authors i follow recently posted an update titled "I'm not dead", because there was so little activity. Now that's what i define as 'not active enough'.

NOCTURNAL

Everyone gets sick and have other things going on in their life . Brother your no exception .If they leave because your not fast enough then it's their loss.Theres plenty of novels to pass time until the update or find something else to do .Instead their impatience ruled the day . Best things come to those who wait ..

I think you are doing fine. All this takes time and it's not like you are a huge corp with lots of assets. I think there are people that just have to say something negative on any evaluation, I have met a few in those huge corps. I like the level communication that you do here. You are not a spammer but you let us know what's happening. You're good in my book.

Chrisbrei

You are doing great. Don't change anything

Brian McKechnie

Keep working the great stories and great graphics.....

Angeal90

yup dont worry we all love you'r work :)
