Now that Book 2 is out, I can finally explain that Go-Man's main superpower other than growing huge, is that he can mirror his opponent's powers. This can only be done while Go-Man is in the presence of the original power and it doesn't last forever.

This was of course to add to the whole autism metaphor. When Tobi "masks" as Go-Man, he can survive the battles (aka social interactions) by mirroring how others are acting. It also adds to the idea that monsters and mechs are Tobi's special interest, so of course he has a lot of knowledge of their attacks and stuff.

Anyway, Book 2 goes full hog with his idea and the first thing we see him doing is copying the wings of Tobura, the housefly kaiju.

Also fun little thing to spot in this page is Grace holding one of Okidoki's ears as a phone, while he is using the other as binoculars.

I love how his powers tie into his autism in that way, it's so cool!

I love Tobi's fighting spirit. I never could lift a hand against anyone when I was his age, even if a bullying kid was smaller than me.
